Conjurer of Dreams Inspiration # 5

Welcome to another year of creativity! I can not believe we are into the first month of 2025 already!!!!!!

My inspiration projects for Conjurer of Dreams this month is using Winter Morning for our Blog Challenge: Winter Morning.

I have used a Tim Holtz Frame Chippie with a Market 49 word Chippie and photo film with various ephemera bits from my stash.
I really love that view from the window.

My second project I have created with Winter Witch.

I have used some Steel stencil paste through a new stencil that was in one of my Christmas gifts from a crafty bestie. (Aren't they just the best, as you just know you will love whatever they gift you!)

A few more bits from my stash and another gorgeous Junk Journal page done!

Conjurer of Dreams Inspiration # 3

My inspiration projects for Conjurer of Dreams this month is using Festive Steampunk Polar Bear on the first one, and Winter Christmas Hamster with Winter Pines AI Art background on second one.

This first one, I used some dies that were given to me as gifts, in white cardstock, as well as black cardstock to put behind my image. I then used my Pheonix Watercolour pallet to blend the image into the page as well as some flicks for interest. My sentiment is from an old Kindred Stamps stamp set.

I used a die from Bee Arty in White Cardstock and placed behind my image. My sentiment is from an old Kindred Stamps stamp set and I added some splats from my white paint pen. Lastly I added some clear domes to enhance it a bit.

Check out these and all the others available to purchase at our Conjurer of Dreams Etsy Store.

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 42

My first Inspiration Post this month for Michelle's Creative Warriors, I have created a Scrapbook Page layout using one of the girls from the Covid Art Image pack by Michelle Grant.

I used one of the girls as well as one of the quotes from the pack.
My background paper is the backing from a Mintay Chipboard pack.
I used Michelle's stencil "Roundabout" and Dies "Connected" and "Around" from the collection Full Circle she created for Bee Arty.
I used a few different archival inks through the stencil and then the second part of the stencil I used Gel Medium which gives a watermark effect.

I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Mehhh

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the 2nd page of June.

I have now sewn my signature into my cover so having to now do my pages as in the planner instead of sliding it out and having it less bulky. Still it's okay, lol, except my 2nd signature is slightly up a bit, but hey, it's handmade so one of a kind!

I used some more left over papers from Scrapping Clearly's Sweet Kiwi Foundations pack from my Alchemist Junk Journal classes last year.
Combined this with Bee Arty's new Border Queen stamp and Rustic Harlequin stencil. I also used Colour Blast Lovely Lilac Colour Paste.
The tag I used another girl I found on Pintrest, printed off and cut to a tag. Transparency sheet (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I trimmed and adhered with a eyelet then tied some sari ribbon through it. My velum paper (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I stitched around to make a pocket and then stitched onto the page and popped my tag in.
I also used a diecut frame and glittery sticker from my stash.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 35

Merry Christmas!

If you are like me and unfortunately have to work tomorrow, then you will be having Christmas Dinner with your family like me!

So as not to keep you, a short posting for my last project to inspire you in 2023.

I created a Cover for my Junk Journal Planner for 2024 using a Woolies Christmas Paper Bag!
LOL, this way the spine and back as well as inside covers don't really need decorating as the baubles design is all over it!
I used a Mash Up of two old Releases, one of the girls from Accept by Gracie Grant along with a Books Pattern from Book Lover by Elisa Ablett.
I added some texture with coloured paste through a stencil designed by Michelle Grant for Bee Arty, the Range is called Full Circle.
Also added some stamping from stamp set and a die cut from die in the range.
I also used one of my favourite dies and cut that as well as some glitter stars and gold thickener Numbers Stickers.
The sentiment is from Gracie's set and I added a piece of ruffled black lace to it.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a safe passage into 2024!

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 34

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is using the New Release December/January Challenge Image Reflective Prelude by Michelle Grant.

I used  the black and white image on plain copy paper and adhered to my journal pages.
I added some stencilling using one of Michelle's new stencils from Bee Arty and also one of her new dies from the same collection.
My girls are coloured with mica powders from Bee Arty and Lindy's Magicals, which I also used to colour my die cuts.
I used some white gesso to soften my edges around the girls and try to blend them in a bit better.
I used a black paint pen and a stencil from Natalie May for my words and then lastly I doodled a border around the edges.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 33

I created a double journal page layout using this month's Challenge image On the Inside by Michelle Grant for my second November Inspiration Post.

I used one of Michelle's coloured images and fussy cut some extra flowers to add around her neck and head.
I used a couple of stencils from Bee Arty and a Studio Light one as well with some acrylic paints that blended in with the image.
I found my quote on google and hand wrote it using a black ink pen.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 29

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of Michelle Grants Chill and Pattern #1 packs.

I started with printing some background paper from Pattern #1 onto tissue paper and ripping and adhering to both pages.
I used a Bee Arty stencil as well as 2 Art by Marlene stencils in my stash along with new paints I got for other projects.
I coloured my girl with my Faber-Castell pencils and fussy cut her and my sentiment.
Not going to lie, I totally stuffed the left page and when you stuff up black, it's hard to correct!
LOL, anyway, it's still okay, just a nice grungy feel to it now.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 22

Time for my next project to inspire you.

I have used one of the girls from Seeker by Michelle Grant.
My words are from Little Word Bits #3 by Karen Yates.

I printed my girl on tissue paper and adhered onto my paint mop up music paper from a few months ago.
I then put down some white gesso to dull my mop up page in my journal and added some stamping using Spring Flowers stamps from Bee Arty.
I used Black Soot Distress Ink on the edges of my music sheet and then adhered onto my page.
Add my sentiment and then doodled a border around the edges.

I have been struggling to inspire myself lately, so hope I have inspired you a little bit to get your jounral out and use what's around you.

Artsy Word Search

This month I have altered a wooden rectangle that I got from the cheap shop.
I used Alter It and Artsy Domino Digital Collage sheet's by Gecko Galz for my ephemera.

I used a stencil from Bee Arty, light paste with some acrylic inks, along with some flowers and acrylic gemstones from my stash.

I enjoy mixed media and have started to enjoy the journey a lot more lately.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 19

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is using the New Release Pack for this month's Challenge Charmed by Michelle Grant.

I created this background during the Easter Challenges that were happening on Facebook so thought I would use it.

So I adhered it to my journal page and then set about colouring in my girl and some of the flowers. I grabbed my Inktense Pencils and had a play around. I must say that I coloured my flowers 3 times and love how the colour was more vibrant each time.

I then decided where to put her and the flowers and adhered.
I used a saying from Karen Yates Little Word Bits #3. These Little Word Bit files are a must have and so many different sayings to use with different fonts.

Lastly, I doodled a frame around the outside to make it less plain and I called it done.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Spend energy on what matters

Have you seen the Quarterly Challenges over on the Gecko Galz Challenge Blog?

Our second Challenge is an Altered Canvas and ends 29th of May, so plenty of time to get yours in.

Here is my entry using one of the Zen Goddess girls from the freebie during our October 2022 Blog Hop.

I repurposed a 8x10 canvas that I had used for a leaf bouquet that was starting to look a bit worse for wear.

I used one of the resin frames I created the other month and some shimmer mica powder by Colour Blast on it - how good did it come up!
I then have a bit of stamping, some texture paste through a new stencil from Bee Arty, a die cut, some plastic leaf stem and a finnabair metal flower with a mini gold bauble from Christmas time.
My rice paper saying is from Dina Wakley.

I really love how it turned out and have it on my wall by my printer.

I hope you like it and I can't wait to see what the next Challenge will be.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 15

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of Michelle Grant's Crowned pack and Gracie Grant's Accept pack.

Wouldn't you know it, a spelling mistake...nevermind, I can live with it, as no-one is perfect, right!

I started with the right page having some leftover paint brayered on it with that pink, so thought that would be a nice frame to start off with.
I grabbed on my new Bee Arty stencils and used my teal acrylic paint and popped it on both sides of both pages to give it a bit of grounding and connection.
I then used a few rolls of washi tape and put some of that around my pages too.
I then cut a couple of circles in half that I had left over and placed them around my page until I found a good balance for them.
I adhered both my girls and after applying a clear gesso on them, I used my Neo II crayons with a aqua brush and popped some colour on them.
After then putting my saying down, I used a normal black pen and doodled a border.

Pretty happy with, mistakes and all.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 8

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of last month's Challenge Image Enough and  Reset Art Image pack, both by Michelle Grant.

I had started off by fussy cutting my girl and some of the flowers. The I printed off the lovely coloured image and saying from Reset and added the saying onto the image.
Lol, over the course of following week or so, I played around with positioning and thinking of backgrounds.
During my 31 Days of October for Art Journal Junkie, I often had left over paint. So in day 19, I decided to use those colours and stencils to start my background. I already had left over paint and leaf stencil used on the left page from another day.
Then it was a matter of positioning again and deciding on my next move.
That was to add some stamping with a Bee Arty stamp and also a Uniquely Creative stamp, and then adhering the images and flowers.
Once I had done that, I decided I needed to add some spots of colour to her hair, so I used my Inktense watercolour pencils. Lastly, I added some watered down black acrylic paint splashes and splats.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little bit differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 18

Day 18 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Magenta, Yellow and Purple
An Affirmation Quote: Create what makes your heart dance and your soul sing.
An element:  Hearts

I am a day behind again, but that's ok!
I used a Bee Arty stencil and I think the other is Dylusions.
Saying is from Art by Marlene and my Alice ephemera is from one of my Vectoria Designs files.
My Cats face is from a Visible Image set.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 17

Day 17 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Red, Green and Aqua
An Affirmation Quote: Take time to smell the Roses.
An element:  Roses

Oh my, such a Hot Mess!
This page ended up no where near where it was going at the start!
I love it when you just let go and let it evolve, hot mess and all.
I think maybe I should have used one of Art by Marlene's Mermaid die cuts instead.
All the die cuts are by Art by Marlene, and I wrote my saying in the lined circle/petal one.
The Rose underneath that is a washi tape sticker from Kmart.
My Rose flower stencil is from Bee Arty and I used another two stencils that I can't recall.
Some acrylic paints and I think that is all I used.
How much fun are you having with these projects?
I know I am enjoying trying different things and learning as I go - 14 days still to go!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 15

Day 15 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Rust, Aqua and Blue
An Affirmation Quote: Think outside the Box & Colour outside the Lines
An element: Squares

I have used my own drawing for today (LOL, Yesterday's) page. I think I drew and coloured her sometime last year...
Anyways, I started with an A4 coffee stained paper that I did and you can see the Rust speckles that come out on it.
My stencils are 2 by Dusty Attic, 1 by Bee Arty and 4th unknown.
My saying is from one of my Sticker Sheets books by Art by Marlene. I used a Black paint pen from Life Of Colour to outline the saying.
The doodling around the edges and over some of the stenciling is black hiflow acrylic paint in a glue  bottle.
I really love this page and it's meanings, so apt for today.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 13

Day 13 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Mint, Mustard and Grey
An Affirmation Quote: Inhale Possibility, Exhale Creativity
An element: Zen

This page did not take very long at all and turned out amazing!
I used my Distress Oxide inks with a Stencil from Paper Roses, and one by Bee Arty called City Night.
I then spritzed with water and let it run/blend a bit and then dried it off with my heat gun.
My quote and Eeyore sticker are from my stash that my Crafty Bestie gifted me. They really suit todays theme and Affirmation.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 6

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of both the Breathe and Girl Next Door Art Image packs by Michelle Grant.

I had so much fun mixing colours with Karen Yates Monomeow class a few weeks back, that I grabbed a blue, white and black tub of paint and mixed up some colours to use on my journal page.
I used a couple of my Bee Arty stencils with the same colours as well as plain black for my silhouette.
The lovely girls face is from the Breathe pack, and the windows and saying from the Girl Next Door pack. I just love that saying, and am struggling with a decision along those lines as well at the moment.

I coloured the windows with my Inktense Watercolour Pencils.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Monday, 3 October 2022

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 3

Day 3 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Blue, Silver and Purple
An Affirmation Quote: I Dream, I Believe, I Receive
An element: Arrows

I decided to use my Faber-Castell water paints for a change, so used a blue and purple. I did go over them a second time to add some depth.....ohhh look at me learning right there!
I then used some white acrylic paint to cover some of the splashes and give a more brighter white to the layout.
My image is from Michelle Grant's Shine past Challenge pack. I printed her on tissue paper.
Once adhered down, I then used my water paints to blend her into my page connecting the top and bottom layers.
I added some Silver stars using a Bee Arty Stencil and Colour Blast Steel Colour Paste.
I stamped my affirmation on using waterproof black ink.

I really love the way she turned out, and only realised doing this post that I totally forgot the "arrows".....lol, oh well, lucky there is no right or wrong!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
