Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 5

Day 5 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Mint, Grey and Green
An Affirmation Quote: I love who I am becoming
An element: Keys

Today I got my Neo II Crayons out and had a play.

I also used my Visible Image Creative Chaos stamp set with Distress Oxide inks.
Some White and Green acrylic paints with a couple of stencils from my stash - I think they both might be Dylusions ones - the green one is.
I went over the flowers with my Black Life of Colour paint pen to bring it out of the background.

I love who I am becoming with my art journals - a journey I am enjoying.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Arsinic & Lace

This month I created a card and a tag for my project to inspire you, using the Arsinic & Lace Digital Craft Kit by Gecko Galz.

Being that it's October, what better projects to make then Halloween ones!

I created my clusters in my word document and printed off.
After fussy cutting, I put them aside and created my backgrounds.
My card I used a Visble Images stencil and distress inks and then popped my cluster on with foam dots to give some dimension.
I used a preprinted tag and added a die cut with some bakers twine and ink splats. Again adhering my cluster with foam dots. Lastly adding some tulle in the top hole.
I must admit I did have a bit of fun with them and stepped out of my comfort zone a tad with them.

I hope you like them and are inspired to join in on one of our many challenges this month.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2022 - # 36 Mysterious

Next card # 36 - Mysterious.

Week 6 Theme is: Neutral elements, Rust, Dye, Thread & Stitching.

Well that break didn't last long! 3 more and I will be back up to date....

While I was waiting for the distress ink to dry, I did another of the Junk Journal pages, so that is actually good as I can work on both at the same time.

This was pretty quick to create really - I used my Visible Image Dark Hearts stencil along with Black Soot and Stormy Skys distress inks, spritzed with water for my background.
Then I just had to trim out one of the cards on my page from Stamperia's Alice Paper Pack.
I did sponge the edges of the card and the ICAD with Black Soot distress ink as well.

See you tomorrow!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Not today Cupid!

I had a bit of fun making this card to showcase the 2022 Kit Club over at Gecko Galz.

The Club is such good value - you get 50 craft images within a theme each month for the whole year.
The image I used is from January's kit - Pre Raphaelite Art.

I used my distress inks and the Dark Hearts stencil from Visible Image to create my background.

Before I printed off my image, I added the "Not today Cupid!" wording.
It is a pretty flat card as I actually intend to use it as a page in a Junk Journal gicing me 3 other sides to play with!

So no matter when you sign up, you will get the month's that have been sent as well so you don't miss put on any of them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge

Another month has almost passed us by.....I finally got around to creating with this gorgeous image for the Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge.

How adorable is she! I just wasn't too sure what I wanted to do with her so took the easy way out and popped her in my coffee stained journal.

I used my Stay Weird stamp set by Visible Image for both the sentiment and the bubbles.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Wanderlust 2021 Week 16

I loved this week's class at Wanderlust 2021 by Dyan Reaveley.

I went with my 3 main colour combo I decided to use this year for Wanderlust, with the addition of Black. It makes it easier when you don't have to decide on colours to use.....lucky my are a warm combo.

I got to use my new Buddha 1 A4 stencil from ColourBlast that was designed by Michelle Grant.
Also used the Distorted Chess stencil by Visible Image and one from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps that I can't recall the name of. Another 2 stencils from my stash as well.

White and black gel pen for outlining and writing.

I found 2 great snarky quotes to use - the one in black you can read pretty well,
"Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak!"
The one in white says:
"I am practicing mindfulness, compassion and kindness, so don't piss me off!"
Loved them both.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creepy Circus Freak Show

I had a play with the new Creepy Circus Freak Show Elements from Ephemoire.

To be honest I wasn't too sure what I would create, so when about printing both sheets, cutting out and sponging all the edges.
I then decided to print off the Quirky P'Arts #1 file I bought in the sale.
After cutting and sponging the edges of the quirky folk, I then just went about placing the different elements and shuffling until I was happy with a combination I liked, then started again.

So I ended up with 1 Slimline card, 1 5 3/4" Square card and a double sided ticket holder along with plenty of embellishments left over to create more cards, put in junk journal, planner, etc.

I think they all turned out great.

I added some tulle behind my tent curtain, gold pearls, rhinestones and used my Dark Hearts stencil by Visible Image. My Ticket Book die is from Jaded Blossom. A few elements have been propped up on foam dots and I sponged the edges with Distress Ink.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
