Creative Warriors Inspiration # 35

Merry Christmas!

If you are like me and unfortunately have to work tomorrow, then you will be having Christmas Dinner with your family like me!

So as not to keep you, a short posting for my last project to inspire you in 2023.

I created a Cover for my Junk Journal Planner for 2024 using a Woolies Christmas Paper Bag!
LOL, this way the spine and back as well as inside covers don't really need decorating as the baubles design is all over it!
I used a Mash Up of two old Releases, one of the girls from Accept by Gracie Grant along with a Books Pattern from Book Lover by Elisa Ablett.
I added some texture with coloured paste through a stencil designed by Michelle Grant for Bee Arty, the Range is called Full Circle.
Also added some stamping from stamp set and a die cut from die in the range.
I also used one of my favourite dies and cut that as well as some glitter stars and gold thickener Numbers Stickers.
The sentiment is from Gracie's set and I added a piece of ruffled black lace to it.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a safe passage into 2024!

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Exhale, Inhale Tag / Bookmark

Well hello again!
I previously showed you my Toy Soldier's Cutlery Holders and Journal page Christmas Dinner for Scrapbookingncraft
Today I am sharing with you a tag I made that could be used as a bookmark as well.

For my tag, I used a chipboard piece from a mixed pack I got - looks to me to be a Lotus shape and coloured it with gold acrylic paint.
I used 2 shades of blue acrylic paint to start my background on my tag. I then used a 3rd blue with the Rock Pools stencil and gold acrylic paint with the Small Squares Distressed stencil.
I then used the Square Set of foam stamps to add some more interest.
I adhered the lotus and then doodled the words exhale, inhale going in and out from my lotus.
I added some gold acrylic paint to the edges of my tag.
Lastly I added some sari ribbon and my tag is complete to gift or use as a bookmark.
I am loving those blues!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Joy Scrapbook Layout

Well hello again!
My last December project for Scrapbookingncraft is a bright Sunflower inspired layout.
Can you believe that is year is just about over already! It really has just flown by so quickly.

On this layout I have used the Repeating Circles stencil, Mixed Up Honeycomb stencil along with one of the White Mixed Media Cardstock small Distress Filmstrip from Scrapbookingncraft.
I used the stencils on tissue paper as well with texture paste mixed with mica powder and put through the stencil.
I used a few distress inks to grunge up my filmstrip.

I hope you are inspired to get out your craft supplies and get crafty in 2024!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 34

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is using the New Release December/January Challenge Image Reflective Prelude by Michelle Grant.

I used  the black and white image on plain copy paper and adhered to my journal pages.
I added some stencilling using one of Michelle's new stencils from Bee Arty and also one of her new dies from the same collection.
My girls are coloured with mica powders from Bee Arty and Lindy's Magicals, which I also used to colour my die cuts.
I used some white gesso to soften my edges around the girls and try to blend them in a bit better.
I used a black paint pen and a stencil from Natalie May for my words and then lastly I doodled a border around the edges.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Nutcracker Napkin ideas

Well hello again!
Time for my next project for Scrapbookingncraft, and with Christmas just around the corner, I thought I would make some Cutlery Holders for Christmas Dinner.

I mean seriously, how stinkin cute are they! and super easy to make.

I used one of Alexis' Christmas Toy Soldiers Assorted Sizes Paper Napkins from the Scrapbookingncraft Shop along with a die and stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

So while I was playing with the napkin, I decide to also do a page in my Junk Journal.

My toy soldiers are on two different types of tea bags. So cool to see the different effects.
I used the Double Daisy 6 x 4 stencil to add some interest behind my stamped sentiment.
And seeing that one is a pocket, I made some tags to pop in them.
My nice sparkly baubles are 2 of the 4 White Mixed Media cardstock Bauble Swirls (small) set that I have used Glittered embossing powder and heat set. Love how they turned out.

If I have you looking at your napkins in a different way at Christmas, let me know, and be sure to share what you did with them!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
