Bohemian Rhapsody

Have you entered this month's Customer Challenge over at Gecko Galz yet?
The theme is Bohemian Rhapsody.

I used Bohemien Rhapsody Collage Set for both my background and my girl.
I coloured my girl with my pencils to take it from being a monochromatic image to a coloured one.
Distressed the edges of my background print and sponged the edges of my card base for a grungy look.
I found the right saying for her and handwrote it on with some glitter gel pens.
I love how she turned out.

I hope I have inspired you, and now it's your turn to show me what you can do this month - you have until the 29th to get your entry blogged and onto the blog page. Why not try an image from the Newsletter freebies as well.
It really is worth the try to have some fun and maybe win $25 to spend in the store along your way!

Don't forget we have our yearly Blog Hop starting on the 27th!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Christmas Gnomes

Hello and welcome to my blog......I am honored to be on the 2022 Gecko Galz Design Team. So many talented ladies in the team, I hope I can inspire a few of you with my creations as well.

I have two projects to share today with it being my day to share my project, as well as my tag for the the 25 Tags of Christmas Event.

So first I will show you my projects for December that I created.

Ekkkk how stinkin' cute are these Gnomes!
They are from the new Christmas Gnome Stamps set.

I coloured up two images using my distress inks and my neon gel pens for the baubles and lights - I had so much fun that I decided to just use the neon gel pens with 2 glitter gel pens on the third Gnome that I also made into a tag.

The sentiments on my tags are from Jaded Blossom's Bah Humbug and Hero Arts CM405 - lol, it was a gift and does not have a title only that CM #.

I wanted to show you an ornament I made as well for the Card and Ornament swap we are doing.
I originally made this to send to my partner and took a photo, as you do, then placed it with others things I had made. When I got up in the morning, I wondered what was laying in the middle of my craft room floor - yes, my dog decided to chew it up overnight! Thankfully it was all she decided to destroy!
I have made a different ornament for my partner and sent off which I will show you once it arrives at it's overseas destination
.

I used one of the images from the HO HO HO collage sheet.
It turned out wonderful, or so I thought!

I hope have inspired you to make some cards or tags for Christmas - there is always someone you forget to send one to!

Come back later today and see my Tag for the 25 days of Christmas.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Christmas Challenge

Here's  a tag I made using the image for the Christmas Challenge over at Gecko Galz.

Firstly I sized and printed off the image to suit the tag I am using.
I adhered to the front of the tag and then used my gel pens and sharpies to add some colour.
This reminded me of some old photo's from my mum's wedding day that looked like someone had just added some splashes of colour to it.
Hasn't technology come a long long way!
All it needed then was some ribbon and it's all ready to put on a gift bag come Christmas time.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 #Day 8 Umbrella

Day 8 and so much you can do with the prompt Umbrella.

LOL, you'd think right! Well after much googling and procrastination, I finally decided on a plan.

I found a great quote and decided I could draw an umbrella (LOL) and colour it with my gel pens....yay, way to use what is at hand.

I got these super cool water effects stamps from Designs by Ryn (probably 3 years ago?) and decided now was a good time to grab them out of hibernation.

I wrote my quote using another gel pen, well when they are there why not.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 #Day 9 Ampersand

Ampersand is the prompt for Day 9 of ICAD.

Not too creative today - busy day with hubby's birthday and working afternoon shift so I had to get this one done after morning coffee!
I have scheduled this to post while I'm at work as it's also Game 1 of State Of Origin so when I get home I will be watching the last part of the game....go Queensland!

I actually love this quote - so true and worth remembering.

I used a brayer and some black acrylic paint for my background.
White gel pen and a wobbly ampersand and good to go!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Wanderlust 2021 - Week 3

Wanderlust 2021 Week 3 is with Kasia Avery and we are doing self portraits.

I did one of these last year with Lifebook 2020, and I have to say, I still struggled to put the paint over the drawing.....I think I drew it better this year, plus this year it's a bit easier as it's front on so that helped.
But let me tell you, those glasses do my head in!

It turned out a bit more cartoonist then it was meant to, but I LOVE it and wouldn't change a thing.
Yes, even those wonky glasses!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
