Creative Warriors Inspiration # 42

My first Inspiration Post this month for Michelle's Creative Warriors, I have created a Scrapbook Page layout using one of the girls from the Covid Art Image pack by Michelle Grant.

I used one of the girls as well as one of the quotes from the pack.
My background paper is the backing from a Mintay Chipboard pack.
I used Michelle's stencil "Roundabout" and Dies "Connected" and "Around" from the collection Full Circle she created for Bee Arty.
I used a few different archival inks through the stencil and then the second part of the stencil I used Gel Medium which gives a watermark effect.

I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Beautiful Day

Mixed Media Monday 2024 .... I started doing this at the beginning of the year as a way to complete the pages of my Junk Journal Planner which I shared in January.

Here is my 8th page - 2nd page for May.

I have to say I am loving them and getting to use up papers and ephemera from my stash!
I am also using stamps and stencils I have had a while and never touched. So a win win all round I must say.

This one I have used Nana's Kitchen papers and paper elements from Mintay - again, leftover packs from a retreat last year.
My girl I found on Pintrest and printed off. I really think she fits in with the quote really well.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

I could be wrong....

My Junk Journal Planner for 2024 is coming along very nicely.
Here is my 2nd page for April that I created for this months Challenge over at Paper Craft Secrets Facebook Group. This month the Challenge is "Flowers".

I used up a heap of leftover ephemera lying around and on my desk!
To start with, my page already had the 2 blue modelling pastes through my girl stencil by Scrap FX as well as scraped around it in the second shade. This paste was leftover the other month during a project, so I opened my journal, as you do, and added it so I had a start when I came to this page. There was too much to just waste.
So because I had the start of it being blue as well, I looked around my desk and close by and got some Mintay Mediterranean Heaven Die Cuts left over from a Paper Craft Party day last year as well as odds and ends to complete my page.
Lol, I have no idea what I was thinking when I scraped that modelling paste around her....anyway, I do love how my page turned out.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 26

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is my cover and first page for the Rainbow Challenge!
Haven't seen it yet, jump over onto Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group and check it out.
It' all about the Rainbow and using those colours in a monochromatic way!

I created my own Art Journal for this challenge with plenty of pages for other challenges throughout the year.
My cover I used some painter drop sheet and added gesso onto it and then my "rainbow".
I had this great Creative Warrior affirmation from a Virtual Retreat of Michelle's a few years back and thought it perfect to pop on the cover.
Inside I used a great Mintay paper I received at the Papercraft Party Event a few months back.
My signatures/paper and cover chipboard are a Kit from Natalie May Scrapbooking.

Page 1 is Red - Passion, Love.
I have used Elisa Ablett's Book Lover for my image, background paper and saying. I printed them out on rice paper.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints: Festive Berries, Candied Apple and Barn Door. Dina Wakley's Ruby, and a couple of cheap shop paints: Scarlet Lake and Rose Madder.
Additionally I used a black and red Sharpie and white gesso for splatters.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to have a go at the Rainbow Challenge. I look forward to seeing your take on it.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
