Just Because

Sharing my Journal layout and tag for Scrapbookingncraft with you.

I used my Altered Diary again as my preferred journal for my project.
My favourite part is the woman that I blended in perfectly to the page - traced the mask onto cardstock then adhered napkin and cut out then carefully lined up to page and adhered. I then gave her a shadow using Black Aquarellable Pencil.

I hope you it and are inspire to create with some of Scrapbookingncraft products Don't forget to share with us when you do. Feel free to tag me.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Craftiness is Happiness

Sharing my Journal layout for Scrapbookingncraft with you.

I used my Altered Diary again for my project.
On the left page, I coloured my  Art Journal Mixed Media Cardstock Face with Art Supplies using Paint Pens for the elements and my Pheonix Watercolour pans on her face. Once it was all dry I adhered to the painted page.
On the right side, I used  Chipboard Word Craftyness is Happyness and White Mixed Media Light Bulbs Tiny that I coloured with my Gold Paint Pen.

I hope you like it.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creepy Circus

This month I have made some fun tags and another page in my Altered Book using December Dreams, Jeepers Creepers, Vintage Vamps, Into the Woods and Lifes a Circus Collage sheet by Gecko Galz to hopefully inspire you!

I have been enjoying using stencils in my journals of late so this time used a scribble one by Natalie May here in Australia with gold paint. Hard to see but that journal page is quite shiny in real life.

I added one of my cast off resin pieces on my tag too as well. I love the grungy beaten look that using up that last bit of resin gives.

I had a bit of fun with the theme this month. Can't wait to see how you all interpret it yourselves.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Nature's Abundance

This month I have made a set of 3 cards and completed another Journal page in my altered Book.
I used the new Natures Stained Glass Jewel It by Gecko Galz to hopefully inspire you!

I really enjoyed making all these.
There is nothing more satisfying then putting paint in your journal and playing around to see where it leads you. I started off with a totally orange background that was leftover paint.
My sentiments on my cards are from my Cut-apart stash from Uniquely Creative.

Don't forget our fab challenges over on our Facebook Group..

Dapper Gentleman

This month I have made a couple of cards using Man O Man Collage set.

I also used Alter It Collage sheet for the crossword background on this card.

I also did 2 pages in my Altered Diary using Man O Man Collage set again.

I know how busy we all are, but I hope you get some time to create this month.

Don't forget we have plenty of challenges going on over at our Blog and also on our Facebook page.

Gecko Galz Customer Challenge

Have you entered this month's Customer Challenge over at Gecko Galz yet?
The theme is Steampunk Love.

I have again used my Altered Diary and created a double layout which could also be stand alone pages.
I used 2 of the Steampunk ATC Collection images for my backgrounds and then 2 of the images from Steampunk Jewel It for my Cat and Ape.
I added some die cuts and inked around the edges.
My background on my pages are using texture paste and distress oxide inks over texture die cuts I cut out. I have then used these same die cuts on my page as well.
I can't recall who my words are from but they were sitting in my stash and fit the theme prefectly.

Did I inspire you?  Don't forget you have until the 29th to get your entry blogged and onto the blog page. Why not try an image from the Newsletter freebies as well.

Mermaid Dream World

This month I did a layout in my altered diary for my project to inspire you by using one of the mermaids from the Mermaid Dream World Kit Club August 2022 by Gecko Galz.

I used a dark violet acrylic paint and painted around the border of my pages.
Next I used a background paper from Gecko Glaz that I got in one of my DT Kits and torn around the edges and then adhered that to the centre of my layout.
Fussy cut my mermaid and adhered her.
Next I used 2 of the stamps from Art by Marlene's 2022 Advent Calendar and stamps around my border to give some interest.
Lastly, I used one of Karen Yates saying from her Little Word Bits #3 file.

I hope you like them and are inspired to join in on one of our many challenges this month.

Myth - Legend?

Have you entered this month's Customer Challenge over at Gecko Galz yet?
The theme is Myths and Legends.

I have to say I found the theme this month to be a hard one to come up with a project for.
In the end, after looking through the majority of my Gecko Galz files, I came up with these two images from the Nevermore Digital Stamp Set to create a double layout in my altered book journal.

I grabbed out the old Shakespeare Book again and tore out 2 pages and then tore them a bit to fit. I did overlap my first page to help brace the spine. Then I grabbed my Black Soot distress ink and sponged around the edges and smooched it over the pages as well as my two images. Grabbing my water mister bottle, I splashed water over the pages and images for the ink to react. On my pages only, I then used my little puffer to move the ink around the pages. Once all dry, I adhered my images and all done.

I love how it came out, and have to say that it is not how it was going to be. I had meant to print the images on tissue paper, but some how the second page of other stuff I was printing off at the same time, printed on the tissue and these ones on the normal copy paper. I figured I would make it work rather then reprint. So a happy accident after all!

I hope I have inspired you, and now it's your turn to show me what you can do this month - you have until the 29th to get your entry blogged and onto the blog page. Why not try an image from the Newsletter freebies as well.

Let the Sunshine in

Another month gone and Easter is behind us!
How fast is the year going, again!

So here I am with my monthly projects for Gecko Galz.
I decided to make a tag as well as a journal page.

When I saw this image I knew I had to create with it! It is just beautiful!
You will find it on the What's the Buzz Digital Collage Set. If you check out the blog, you will see the fabulous projects a few of the DT did using this same set.
I used my tag die by Uniquely Creative to die cut my tag. I then used a Tim Holtz Die to give me the honeycomb cut away on my tag. Using some pattern paper that a good friend gave me in a recent Easter swap, I die cut another tag and adhered to the back to have the yellow pattern come through.
Fussy cut my wonderful image and popped on with foam dots to lift it up.
My sentiment is from Art by Marlene's Signature Collection Sticker Book, and tulle from my stash to finish.

The journal is an old diary (ok, last years work diary, lol) that I recycled the cover here in March. At the moment I am all about using what I have and not buying any craft items until June......6 weeks in and I am still at $0 spend! Whoop Whoop, win for me and my vast stash!
So, my image is from Gecko Galz Little Birds Collage Set which I fussy cut and set aside.
I grabbed out my Dusty Attic stencil (DA2103) and using Art by Marlene Acrylic paints Peony and Tuscan I created my background.
I then adhered a heart shaped doily I received in a swap and added some DMC thread in similar colour (lol, that stash that keeps giving!) and my image on top.
Next I grabbed some pink planner/journal stickers in my vast stash and found two that worked well together for this page.
Lastly I doodled with a black gel pen in opposite corners with highlights from white gel pen.

I hope you like them and are inspired to dig through your stash and join one of our many challenges!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 78 Coffee/ Journaling Card

This weeks prompt is Coffee / Journaling Card.

I used an image from TLCreates Vintage for my coffee - so true!
My journal page is a leftover page trimmed down from a Vectoria Designs project, and the saying is from a magazine.
I used the Curtis stencil by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps with Walnut Stain Distress ink for my background.
Turned out great.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 71 Gnome / Card

So this time round we only have a prompt - Gnome card - or so I thought!
I imagine it is Gnome / Card!
Anyways, I decided to add a belly band for it as I only thought about it when I was doing this blog post up just now.

Ekkkkkkkkk how cute is that postcard!

It is a printable from TLCreates Vintage and the ribbon I used for the band was gifted from my crafty friend in a swap.

I still have 5 to go to catch up, lol, every time I do a couple more a few more weeks have gone by so I'm still way off.....I will get on top of it........

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 70 Suitcase / Pocket

My next installment of Junk journal prompts!
#70 is all about the suitcase and pockets....

Well I just had to use my Traveler stamp set from Stampin Up for this one!
I stamped in vintage photo distress ink and added the hot air balloon from the IndigoBlu Mixed Media Special 2 set. The words are from the same set.
I stamped the suitcase on a separate piece of paper and adhered over the globe and passport book.
I then cut out some post-it notes and used as a mask to stamp my balloon in.
LOL, yes it was an after thought! but if you did not know you would never guess.

My pocket is a tab punched out of the page and then adhered the pages together for my pocket.

Love it!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 69 Bingo / Tag

I am slowly catching up on my Junk Journal prompts - 5 more after this to be back on time....
This one is bingo / tag.

So here I am mixing and matching again.
I used 2 pages from a Vectoria Designs file along with my bingo card from TLCreates Vintage.
I think they work very well together.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 68 Camping / Journaling card

So camping / journaling card is the next prompt......

I found two great camping images in my files from TLCreates Vintage and decided to use the canoe one as a tuck spot, and the campsite one for my journaling card.
I used one of my printables from Red Dot Books and Printables as my card and adhered my image on top.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 67 Typewriter / Page corner

Today we have the prompt of Typewriter / Page corner.

I went through my digital files and came up with a great image with a typewriter on it from Curious Minds by Red Dot Books and Printables. I trimmed it and used it as my Page corner tuck spot.
I used a page from an old Asian book I have in my stash. Being that there is no English whatsoever in/on it, I can't tell you the name or country it's from, but it is the perfect size to add to my smaller projects.
I grabbed another printable from Red Dot Books and Printables to tuck in to the page corner.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 66 Beach Pocket

The prompt for this one is Beach / Pocket.

I decided to use a used small treat bag as my pocket.
Grabbing the wind type stencil from La-La Land Crafts It's Snowing layering stencil, I used my distress inks for my background.
I then adhered my image from Gecko Galz Summer Splashdown Kit Club 2021 files.
Then I adhered it onto my page and popped in an image from Red Dot Books and Printables.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 65 Travel / Envelope

Wow......I have missed quite a few of these - I was pretty good and had gotten up to #64, so this is next in line #65 which was July 9th...surprisingly, I am only 9 behind!
Another project to play catch up with.....

So here we have my Travel page which is a map of Australia, obliviously! that I ripped out of a travel book - I have highlighted the places I have either lived or spent time in on holidays. I had to trim the page so Tasmania misses out again - I did live there in Swansea as a toddler.

My envelope is a printable from TLCreates Vintage and I thought was just perfect for this project.
The clip is a hairclip I got with a Steampunk necklace purchase from a local company called Steampunk Witch Creations.

Ok then, some more to be looking at getting done.
This little book is now quite chunky and I've actually cut the cover away and split ready to piece it all together once I have completed this year long Challenge.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 61 Stain / Tuckspot

I know I have been a bit hit and miss with posting my #jjec project here on my blog, but I do them every week on my Instagram page.
With doing the ICAD each day again this year, it's easy to remember to pop these here as well.

So this week we have Stain and Tuckspot.

So I grabbed my Milled Lavender Distress Spray Stain by Tim Holtz and Fresh Lime Ink Spray by Dylusions.

I sprayed my backing page and two tags. Once they dried, I sprayed them again to add some more colour and splashes.

My tags I decided to put coloured safety pins instead of ribbon for a change.
I also decided to doodle on my tags for a change. I used white fluid acrylic paint.
My tuckspot is a collage piece I made a few months back with Wanderlust - we made one big page and cut up into smaller sizes to use at a later date - just like now.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec60 Europe / Pocket

This week our #jjec is up to 60 and it's all about Europe and pockets.

I had some postcards that I used, along with some washing tape and postcard ephemera in my stash.
I quite like how it turned out.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
