Creative Warriors Inspiration # 29

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of Michelle Grants Chill and Pattern #1 packs.

I started with printing some background paper from Pattern #1 onto tissue paper and ripping and adhering to both pages.
I used a Bee Arty stencil as well as 2 Art by Marlene stencils in my stash along with new paints I got for other projects.
I coloured my girl with my Faber-Castell pencils and fussy cut her and my sentiment.
Not going to lie, I totally stuffed the left page and when you stuff up black, it's hard to correct!
LOL, anyway, it's still okay, just a nice grungy feel to it now.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 3

Day 3 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Blue, Silver and Purple
An Affirmation Quote: I Dream, I Believe, I Receive
An element: Arrows

I decided to use my Faber-Castell water paints for a change, so used a blue and purple. I did go over them a second time to add some depth.....ohhh look at me learning right there!
I then used some white acrylic paint to cover some of the splashes and give a more brighter white to the layout.
My image is from Michelle Grant's Shine past Challenge pack. I printed her on tissue paper.
Once adhered down, I then used my water paints to blend her into my page connecting the top and bottom layers.
I added some Silver stars using a Bee Arty Stencil and Colour Blast Steel Colour Paste.
I stamped my affirmation on using waterproof black ink.

I really love the way she turned out, and only realised doing this post that I totally forgot the "arrows".....lol, oh well, lucky there is no right or wrong!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Junk Journal July 2022

Junk Journal July 2022, 11 - Joy, Sunshine Yellow, Acetate.
#cwjjj11

I have used a cheap Aldi acrylic paint for my background.
I then coloured some of the feathers from Tammy Klingner's Creative Warriors Collab#1 Find your Wild pack with my Faber Castell pencils. After I fussy cut them out, I adhered them and used one of Tim Holtz acetate Butterflies to have them appear like a bouquet on my page.
My Joy word is Letter stickers from a Art by Marlene quote book.

I do get a lot of Joy creating in my Junk Journal, nothing you do is wrong and it is a great way to learn by playing with all those bits and pieces from previous classes/retreats that you have still have lying around your craft space.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Junk Journal July 2022 / #10dayartchallenge

Junk Journal July 2022, 09 - Believe, Silver, ATC card & Pocket.
#cwjjj09

I thought that seeing as I was making an ATC for this day as well as doing my junk journal page, I would use the atc for my #10dayartchallenge.

My ATC background card is a collage page I made and cut up to different sizes a few months back and just have sitting on my desk for when inspiration hits......I have used one of the girl faces from Michelle Grant's Silent file, and coloured with my Faber Castell pencils.
I added a scrap of patterned paper sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink behind her to help ground her to the background so she didn't blend in too much.
The saying is from the same file and I distressed the edges and sponged them as well.

My junk journal page I have added a piece of the Shakespeare page I ripped out a few days ago and cut it for my pocket. I stamped "Believe" an other strip of it and cut to size. To help the words stand out, and to get my Silver, I grabbed the Alfoil roll from the kitchen and got a bit to size. Before I adhered it down, I scrunched it up and then flattened it but retained some of the texture with it. I then adhered it onto the pocket and then the word strip.

Junk Journal July 2022

Junk Journal July 2022, 08 - Authentic, Orange, Recycle a Greeting card.
#cwjjj08

I enjoyed using my water paints yesterday, so thought I would make an Orange wash with my Yellow Dedium and Indian Red by Elena Art Pages. They are such beautiful handmade pallets, I love using them. So this is my background.

I then coloured up my Earth Angel image with my Faber Castell pencils and then fussy cut her.
She is from Karen Yate's Creative Warriors Collab#1 Earth Angel. The phrase is a bonus sheet Karen gave us during the Virtual Retreat.
I recycled the "Oh My!" from a birthday card. I thought it worked with "Kinda Sweet, Kinda Savage".
I think this is the Authentic me!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Junk Journal July 2022

Junk Journal July 2022, 07 - Shame/Guilt or Proud, Paynes Grey, Graph paper/grids.
#cwjjj07

I decided to have a play with my water paints for a change.
So to make my Paynes Grey, I mixed my Ultramarine Blue by Elena Art Pages, with a Black from the Complexion set by Prima. I then used this as my background.

I then coloured up my Frida image and roses with my Faber Castell pencils and then fussy cut them.
They are from  Lorri Lennox's Creative Warriors Collab#1 Frida Power, along with the saying.
After adhering them all down, I realised I had not used any graph paper!
So I got that out and used one of my Art by Marlene mini dies from the 2021 Advent Calendar and cut it into a few pieces that would fit and not look like an add on!

It is turning into a fun little junk journal.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Junk Journal July 2022

Here are the next two pages for Junk Journal July 2022.

#CWJJJ03

 #CWJJJ04

First one I have used Art by Marlene Acrylic Paint with a Paper Roses Stencil. My girl and saying is from Lorri Lennox's Tweetheart file and coloured with Faber-Castell pencils. A piece of lace from my stash.

My second one I used some strips of my glossy paper I played with alcohol inks on as my "Magical" aspect, along with the fact that my junk journal page is only 4 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches. My bird and saying is from Lorri Lennox's Tweetheart file as well, and coloured with Faber-Castell pencils. My purple flowers is my napkin that I used.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Junk Journal July 2022

I managed to keep up and do 35 of the 61 ICAD this year and felt like I needed a break - I will finish them off but at my pace now and not to a schedule.

For a little change I have switched to the Junk Journal July challenge on the Creative Warriors page.
Now I started late, and won't be keeping up with this one either (we will see), but I do like the idea of using my mini junk journal I made early on in the year at the Creative Warriors Virtual Retreat.

Anyways, here's the Canvas Cover I created and the first two pages.

Front Cover

Inside with Mini Junk Journal

#CWJJJ01

 #CWJJJ02

My journal size is 5 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches, so a cute handy size.

My Canvas Cover uses Fi Gains' Creative Warriors Collab #1 Background Thank the Trees and saying from Kylie Trout's Creative Warriors Collab#1 The Story Begins 3. Stamps by Bee Arty and Stampin Up with Archival Ink, and some shimmer sprays as well.

First one I have used Art by Marlene Acrylic Paints, Wendy Vecchi Stencil, and my girls face is from Creative Warriors Collab #1 Michelle's Release your Creativity file printed on tissue paper.

My second one I made a mini envelope from some patterend paper in my stash and my bird is from Lorri Lennox's Birdbrain file, coloured with Faber-Castell pencils. Background is using Gelatos,

Colour Wheel Girl

Had some fun with this week's #MondayPromptProject.

It's all about the colour wheel - warm and cool colours.

I enjoyed getting my Faber-Castell water paint set out and just playing around.
They are just a cheap set from Big W (around $10-$12) but still great to use.

I can't figure out a suitable saying to add to her, but I can add that later when I find one!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Chibi Reindeer

It's Bugaboo's 11th Annual Birthday Bash and the Celebrations have started!

I'm a bit late to the party, but have made an ATC for Day Three, which is anything but a card.

I used Chibi Reindeer as she is just so cute!

Coloured with Elena Art Pages handmade "Memories" water paints and Faber-Castell water paints for the background.
My sentiment is from one of my Tim Holtz sticker packs.

I am entering in the following Challenges:
