Mehhh

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the 2nd page of June.

I have now sewn my signature into my cover so having to now do my pages as in the planner instead of sliding it out and having it less bulky. Still it's okay, lol, except my 2nd signature is slightly up a bit, but hey, it's handmade so one of a kind!

I used some more left over papers from Scrapping Clearly's Sweet Kiwi Foundations pack from my Alchemist Junk Journal classes last year.
Combined this with Bee Arty's new Border Queen stamp and Rustic Harlequin stencil. I also used Colour Blast Lovely Lilac Colour Paste.
The tag I used another girl I found on Pintrest, printed off and cut to a tag. Transparency sheet (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I trimmed and adhered with a eyelet then tied some sari ribbon through it. My velum paper (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I stitched around to make a pocket and then stitched onto the page and popped my tag in.
I also used a diecut frame and glittery sticker from my stash.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

50th Birthday Cruise

I thought it was about time I started to scrap some of our Cruise photos.....we are about to go on our 6th Cruise so I have plenty to do!

I have my first photo on a card so it can flip up with a second photo and some journaling.

It's a pretty simple layout using Uniquely Creative's Tropical Dreams papers. I fussy cut some elements out to pop on foam tape to lift off the page as well as Glossy Accents on the mini Anchor.
I also added some ink flicks for interest using Colour Blast Lush and Sunflower Shimer Mica Powders.

This was our first cruise and we met some lovely people that we are still friends with today!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 38

I created a double journal page layout using the Wisdom Art Image pack  by Annette Gearside for my first February Inspiration Post for Michelle's Creative Warriors.

I used one of Michelle's coloured images and fussy cut some extra flowers to add around her neck and head.
I used a stencil from Bee Arty onto tissue paper and adhered to my pages leaving a strip on the right hand side page. In this gap, I used the Round About stencil designed by Michelle Grant for Bee Arty and have stencilled with Distress Oxide Inks straight onto my page to take away the blankness, blending it out into the tissue paper.

My owl and flowers are from Annette's pack. I fussy cut these and adhered onto page and then coloured using some of my Colour Blast mica powders.
Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Spend energy on what matters

Have you seen the Quarterly Challenges over on the Gecko Galz Challenge Blog?

Our second Challenge is an Altered Canvas and ends 29th of May, so plenty of time to get yours in.

Here is my entry using one of the Zen Goddess girls from the freebie during our October 2022 Blog Hop.

I repurposed a 8x10 canvas that I had used for a leaf bouquet that was starting to look a bit worse for wear.

I used one of the resin frames I created the other month and some shimmer mica powder by Colour Blast on it - how good did it come up!
I then have a bit of stamping, some texture paste through a new stencil from Bee Arty, a die cut, some plastic leaf stem and a finnabair metal flower with a mini gold bauble from Christmas time.
My rice paper saying is from Dina Wakley.

I really love how it turned out and have it on my wall by my printer.

I hope you like it and I can't wait to see what the next Challenge will be.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Art Journal Junkie October 2022 - Day 3

Day 3 of 31 days of Art Journaling with Art Journal Junkie Facebook Group!

So we have 3 colours: Blue, Silver and Purple
An Affirmation Quote: I Dream, I Believe, I Receive
An element: Arrows

I decided to use my Faber-Castell water paints for a change, so used a blue and purple. I did go over them a second time to add some depth.....ohhh look at me learning right there!
I then used some white acrylic paint to cover some of the splashes and give a more brighter white to the layout.
My image is from Michelle Grant's Shine past Challenge pack. I printed her on tissue paper.
Once adhered down, I then used my water paints to blend her into my page connecting the top and bottom layers.
I added some Silver stars using a Bee Arty Stencil and Colour Blast Steel Colour Paste.
I stamped my affirmation on using waterproof black ink.

I really love the way she turned out, and only realised doing this post that I totally forgot the "arrows".....lol, oh well, lucky there is no right or wrong!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

It's all about you!

This month's Sparkles Monthly Challenges #156 is Mushroom's and other Fungi.

This month I made an adorable Gift Tag!

Goodness, how stinkin' cute is that cup with the Mushroom in it!
I was lucky enough to grab this year's 2022 Daphne's Diary on clearance at my Newsagent's and knew this was just perfect for this month's challenge. I bought it purely to cut up as it has sooo many great images in it that I can use.
I picked a black tag from my stash to make a gift tag with.
I fussy cut my image and then set it aside to create my background on my tag.
I decided to use my Rose Revival stencil (for the first time) by Colour Blast with some Distress Oxide inks. I can't tell you how beautiful this turned out in real life, and why have I not used it before!
I adhered my cup and then also used one of my sayings from a Uniquely Creative cut-apart in my stash.

I look forward to seeing your take on the theme.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Book Binding Fold

My card for the next Butterfly Challenge #167

I have a great die from Colour Blast called Butterfly Effect so thought I would use it this time round.

Again, I used all of the wheel: Book Binding Fold / all 4 colours / Butterfly/ Braid.

This was a fun card to make!

I used 4 different card stock colours from my stash and a Stampin Up embossing folding on the purple to add some design instead of trying to find pattern papers with the colours needed.
My braid is two seam binding ribbons with a gold thinner ribbon. I love how it turned out.
And my saying is one of my planner stickers, because I have a ton of those too!

I am really enjoying these challenges and can't wait to see what we create next!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
