Creative Warriors Inspiration # 35

Merry Christmas!

If you are like me and unfortunately have to work tomorrow, then you will be having Christmas Dinner with your family like me!

So as not to keep you, a short posting for my last project to inspire you in 2023.

I created a Cover for my Junk Journal Planner for 2024 using a Woolies Christmas Paper Bag!
LOL, this way the spine and back as well as inside covers don't really need decorating as the baubles design is all over it!
I used a Mash Up of two old Releases, one of the girls from Accept by Gracie Grant along with a Books Pattern from Book Lover by Elisa Ablett.
I added some texture with coloured paste through a stencil designed by Michelle Grant for Bee Arty, the Range is called Full Circle.
Also added some stamping from stamp set and a die cut from die in the range.
I also used one of my favourite dies and cut that as well as some glitter stars and gold thickener Numbers Stickers.
The sentiment is from Gracie's set and I added a piece of ruffled black lace to it.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a safe passage into 2024!

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 26

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is my cover and first page for the Rainbow Challenge!
Haven't seen it yet, jump over onto Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group and check it out.
It' all about the Rainbow and using those colours in a monochromatic way!

I created my own Art Journal for this challenge with plenty of pages for other challenges throughout the year.
My cover I used some painter drop sheet and added gesso onto it and then my "rainbow".
I had this great Creative Warrior affirmation from a Virtual Retreat of Michelle's a few years back and thought it perfect to pop on the cover.
Inside I used a great Mintay paper I received at the Papercraft Party Event a few months back.
My signatures/paper and cover chipboard are a Kit from Natalie May Scrapbooking.

Page 1 is Red - Passion, Love.
I have used Elisa Ablett's Book Lover for my image, background paper and saying. I printed them out on rice paper.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints: Festive Berries, Candied Apple and Barn Door. Dina Wakley's Ruby, and a couple of cheap shop paints: Scarlet Lake and Rose Madder.
Additionally I used a black and red Sharpie and white gesso for splatters.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to have a go at the Rainbow Challenge. I look forward to seeing your take on it.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 18

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of Secret Garden Wallpaper by Elisa Ablett for my cover, with one of the Girls from Michelle's Expand Wallpaper pack. Words from Karen Yates' Little Word Bits #2 Pack.

I grabbed my Art By Marlene Journal Book die and used the Secret Garden paper for my cover as well as my tag - Jaded Blossom die.
The small tag I die cut one of the girls from the Expand pack.
Added a piece of ripped paper from Secret Garden and then my saying from Little Word Bits #2.
Before sticking my tag down, I wrapped a piece of lace from my stash and then added a resin feather which I used Finnabair waxes on. Lastly was a piece of ribbon from my stash and a brad to use to hold my signature in and as a closure.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little but differently.

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 12

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of  Michelle Grant's Seeker and Peace packs along with Elisa Ablett's Embrace Change pack.

I loved using the black and white background piece from Elisa's pack with the girl from Michelle's as well as the saying from the other one of Michelle's packs. I decided to keep the left page completely black and white and painted the black border to do this. I also had the black border spill over to the right page.

Using Elisa's Butterfly girl, I went with the rainbow colours and used a FX Scrap stencil to create the first part of my background. Then I used the extra acyclic paint to continue the rainbow, even though you don't see much of it.

Once dry, I adhered my girl and used paint pens to colour her dress, hair and butterflies.
I used pencils to colour her neck and face. Lastly going over some areas with my black paint pen and adding white paint pen in her eyes and on my butterfly.

Clarity is my word for 2023 and I think the girl on the left, once she has that clarity, brings colour and meaning back into her life. Here's to 2023 being a much better and brighter year for all of us!
