Creative Warriors Inspiration # 21

My next Creative Warriors Art Journal page.

I used this gorgeous cat and butterfly from Annette Gearside's Flutterflies Art pack printed on tissue paper.
Art By Marlene paints for my background and some Tim Holtz Distress Crayons on the wings.
A couple of music sheets with distress ink on them and cut into circles, along with a  bit of doodling for edges and stamping with a Unity Stamps stamp to give some extra depth.
Gold paint pen to make the wings stand out from the page.
My sayings are from Karen Yates Little Words Bits # 2

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Butterflies ATC's

This month's Sparkles Monthly Challenges #153 is Things with Wings.

This month I made a set of Butterflies ATC's.

I was cleaning up my desk - well, sort of, I was looking for something and came across a A4 Collage page I had created for a class a few months ago.....and I thought it would make for great ATC's and/or tags.

So I have already shown you the tag I made using this page, and now here are a set of ATC's as well using a different theme, but just as nice.

My collage page was made using a piece of 160 GSM Digital Paper.
Collaged with strips from music sheets, book pages and patterned paper scraps from stash.
Black ink with stamps, and white gesso with stencils. Then cutting up to sizes for my projects,.

Now on each one I have used ephemera from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Curator Ephemera Pack Snippets for my cluster and Butterflies from his Snippets Ephemera Pack Ensemble.
I then added extra stamping using Vintage Photo distress ink with a stamp from Unity Stamp's L.O.L JoJa Kit (2015) as well as one from Dina Wakley's Scribbly Circles. I then sponged around edges with same ink.
Lastly I added a sentiment from Uniquely Creative Cut-a-parts in my stash and used a black pen to go around the edges of them.

I look forward to seeing your take on the theme.

Arty Divas Mid-Challenge Reminder

There is still time to enter this months Challenge over at Arty Divas Challenge Blog.
This month's theme is as always "Anything Goes!", doesn't get any easier than that does it!

I was cleaning up my desk - well, sort of, I was looking for something and came across a Collage page I had created for a class a few months ago and I thought it would make for great ATC's and/or tags.

So for today, I made a tag and used part of the page for it by cutting a piece 18 cm x 7 1/2 cm and then trim the top corners off to create my tag with a hole punch for the ribbon.

My collage page was made using a piece of 160 GSM Digital Paper.
Collaged with strips from music sheets, book pages and patterned paper scraps from stash.
Black ink with stamps, and white gesso with stencils. Then cutting up to sizes for my projects,.

I have used ephemera from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Snippets Ephemera Pack Ensemble to create my cluster.
I then added extra stamping using Vintage Photo distress ink with a stamp from Unity Stamp's L.O.L JoJa Kit (2015) as well as one from Dina Wakley's Scribbly Circles.
Then I sponged around edges with the same ink and added some ribbon from my stash.
Lastly I added a couple of sentiments from Uniquely Creative Cut-a-parts in my stash and used a black pen to go around the edges of them.

I love how it turned out - Shabby Chic meets Vinatge!

I look forward to seeing your entry in our Challenges.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Coral Shimmer

Full Deck Challenge 2 - Card 7.
The prompts are out and they are: Book page, coral colour, zig zag and tree.

I grabbed a cleanup page from one of my books that had some orange and mauve on to add a strip to my card.
Next I got out my Kaiser Mists (iridescent spray inks) - orange and pink and gave the card a few sprays and then splashes to get my coral colour happening. It has the most gorgeous shimmer to it now!
For my tree, I used one of the stamps from my IndigoBlu Mixed Media Special 5 set with black archival ink.
My zig zag is using my orange distress ink with one of the stamps from Unity Stamps LOL JoJa Kit (Jan 2015) stamped in some random spots.

I love how it ended up, and shimmery to boot!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Smell the Flowers

Over at Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook Page, there is a Challenge to use one or all of the Calendar month pages from this years calendar, and create your own journal page.

I have used March, which is Tammy's and I thought her girl was just right to have a pop of colour behind her.

When I started, I had intended to have more white and just a burst of colour, but you know how it is......and in the end I think it is a bit busy, but I still like it.

I used a heap of Art by Marlene products - Moody acrylic paint set, Dramatic Dots Essential stamp set, along with a stamp and 2 stencils from the 2021 Advent Calendar.
I also used a stamp from Unity Stamps JoJa Kit (Jan 2015) and the Vintage Text Mark Making stamp from Uniquely Creative.
Then some black gesso, black Posca paint pen and Cerulean Blue and Iris Koi Coloring Brush Pens.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 13 Dice

Oh I had a bit of fun with today's prompt for ICAD 2021 - Dice.

Bahahaha I was going ok until I mentioned to my hubby that I didn't have any dice for my chess pieces by Unity Stamps and I was thinking of a Game of Thrones idea.....well, clearly I don't play chess and no, they don't use dice! I was thinking of droughts, or anyway, whatever!!!!

So then I had to find my Game of Thrones stamp sets by Kindred Stamps - yep, turned my craftroom upside down, did some sorting and bugger me, found them 2 hours later looking for something else to use!

Ok, so a quick search for a suitable quote to print on tissue paper, and colour my chess pieces with Distress Inks. Stamp my Throne and finally got it finished!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Thanks a Bunch

Having a play around with my stash, as you do....I came up with this lovely card.

The image I stamped is from Unity Stamps and called Bouquet Bunch of Thanks.
It comes with that sentiment stamp as well.

I coloured with pencils and then fussy cut around the image.
I cut two tags from one of my tag die sets. On in plain card stock, the other from a page in the Pretty Pegs Paper Stack I have.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I used a long retired Stampin Up punch to punch it out and adhere to the tags.
The bow is a die from one of my sets from La-la Lands Craft and I used the same page of paper as the tag.
Lastly I added a few glitter dots for a bit of sparkle.
