Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge

We have this wonderful Steampunk Owl image to create with for the Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge this month.

What an incredibly busy month I have had this month of March - and my god, can you believe that Easter is literally around the corner!
Where is the year going already!

So I just love this image, and figured why not create a bookmark as I am getting back into using my planner more - you know I really am more organised when I use my planner - not sure why, maybe I feel more accountable!
I used one of the water paper tags I created with left over Alcohol Ink the other month, along with a Tim Holtz Die and teal cardstock as my backing.
Finished off with some funky yarn I bought at my local Lifeline store.

I hope you had some time this month to create just for the enjoyment of it, and maybe check out the link for the Steampunk Challenge - it's free.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 46 - 49 - Frog

So here is the next lot of my Junk Journal Embellishment Challenge projects.

#jjec46 - Frog / Belly Band

My frogs are from Digital Curio and Journal card and tag are Tim Holtz Idea-ology range. I used and old book page as a background for my frog skeleton and a piece of lace ribbon for my belly band.

#jjec47 - Bridge / Pocket

My bridge is The Tower Bridge in London, from the London Architecture Book.
I made my pocket and popped some journaling tags by Red Dot Books and Printables in there.

#jjec48 - Ledger / Flip out

Nice and simple this week with a Ledger & Flower printable by TLCreates Vintage.

#jjec49 - Wall Paper / Page Corner

Another TLCreates Vintage printable of Wallpaper snippets.

My altered book journal is starting to look chunky and loved!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Christmas Challenge

A new month and another image to use for the Christmas Challenge.

So I went a bit different this month and created a corner bookmark and a paperclip page marker.

The paperclip one is printed on water paper so has a nice textured look to it.

I added some rhinestone and sequins to jazz them up as well.

These are perfect for wintertime as well in your planner or book you are reading.
Or of course as a additional gift at Christmas.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Wanderlust Week 10 - Serendipity

Serendipity time over at Wanderlust this week.

I had a heap of fun just letting this go where it wanted to go.
I got my Distress Paints out that I haven't used in at least 3 years, maybe longer, and played around, covered up with white gesso and played some more with stencils.
So much fun with no expectations.
The only thing I was sure of was to use my coloured image somewhere in the layout.
My image is by Polkadoodles and is from her ULA's Life file. This one is called Inner Beauty. I had previously coloured her up with Distress Inks a few months back.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Never More Designs Gothic Challenge

Never More Designs Gothic Image Challenge is quite interesting this month.

I wasn't too sure what I would create, but ended up using the image on another of my Coffee Stained signatures I made.

I love the papers in this signature.
I used an old baking tray to stain the papers and left in the tray to dry for a few days.
I was surprised with the goldish marks that come out - very steampunk, gothic look to it with the black marks a long with the rusty ones.
My sentiments are from Dina Wakley Media Collage Words.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Vintage Girl

Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge has a very soft, lovely lady to use.

She just looks to be off day dreaming!
I decided to use her on one of my Coffee Stained signatures I made.
The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Clipping Stickers.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
