Merry Christmas 2020

Wow, what a year we have all had!

I don't know about you, but this Christmas has come at me at lightening speed. It only seems like yesterday that I was thinking of my mum's birthday (October!) and if I could visit her!

No matter where you are, I hope you get to enjoy the Christmas as best you can with loved ones.
I myself am working the morning shift but get the pleasure of having Christmas Dinner tonight with my Husband, children and their partners.

Heartfelt thoughts to you all xoxo

Gingerbread Wishes set

It's Holiday Chaos time over at Catch the Bug with Bugaboo Stamps!

Day 4 is New Release / Bingo.

I went with the middle diagonal line - Designer Paper/Bugaboo Image/Die Cut.

I used the Female cup for Gingerbread Wishes Set.

I coloured her up with my Faber Castell pencils.
My background is a paper by Ephemoire (Ginger Whimsy).
I used the dame paper and printed my sentiment onto it and then used the smallest of my Jaded Blossom Stitched Circle die set to die cute and attach.

Made for a fun ATC.

Creations in Pink # 29

Time for the last Challenge of 2020 over at Creations in Pink....remember it's anything goes, but has to be mainly Pink.

This month our Sponsor is Hetty Clare Art.

I created with the image Lulu Love It.

I coloured her with Distress Inks and fussy cut.
I cut out two tags with Patterned Paper from my stash, and then decided to use the backside of the bigger die.
I embossed my card mat with a SU Dot embossing folder that I only lightly embossed as I didn't want it to take over, just add a subtle element to the card.
My sentiment is from one of my cut-aparts from Uniquely Creative.

I hope you get a chance to craft this holiday season and join in with us.

Crabby Cathy Mail Packages

It's Holiday Chaos time over at Catch the Bug with Bugaboo Stamps!

Day 3 is ABC Challenge - Anything But a Card

I used a recent Freebie image called Crabby Cathy Mail Packages.

I coloured her up with my Faber Castell pencils.
I added her to my Mason Jar image by Ephemoire (Pastel Holiday Mason Jar Kit) and then adhered to some glitter card stock that I had die cut with a Jaded Blossom Stitched Circle die.
All that was left to do was to punch a hole, add some tinsel and hang on my tree.
(I made my Jack & Sally ornaments a few years ago)

Vintage Ballerina Girl Bookmark

This month's Image Challenge over at Gecko Galz is a gorgeous Vintage Ballerina Girl.

I decided to make a bookmark with her for my Altered Book Journal.
I used one of the pages I took out and folded in half, glued and sponged the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.
I then added a strip of glittery organza ribbon from my stash down the center.
Fussy cut and sponged the edges of my image and then added it on top.
Then using my Vintage Text  Mark Making Stamp by Uniquely Creative, I stamped off with ink using the distress ink top and bottom areas of the bookmark.
I added a mdf snowflake also from Uniquely Creative as a tab and then some gold flakes to add a bit more bling.
The back side I have added a strip of card stock to help strengthen it.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Ralphie Treat Bag

I had never watched A Christmas Story, so when Traci over at Ephemoire showed us this Ralphie Treat Bag (plus more), I had to ask the question and hunt down the movie.

Now that I've watched the movie, it makes perfect sense!
A great movie, bit slow at times, but well worth the time to watch it through to the end!

As easy as print and cut!
A bit of ink sponged around the edges to give it the vintage feel and then adhere the sides.
I added a mdf snowflake on a foam dot, which I left raw as it blends in nicely. I did pop an enamel dot in the middle of it just to hide the foam dot.
With the foam dot behind the snowflake, you can easily tuck the flap in behind it to close it.
I also fussy cut and sponged the glasses and added to the flap - no more needs to be done.

My water pistol is the perfect gift here in Australia to go with the Treat Bag as our Summer has just begun and boy is it stinkin' hot already!

Happy Holidays everyone and don't shout your eye out! Fa Ra Ra Ra Ra Ra!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

We Believe

Time for a new Challenge over at The Paper Funday Blog!
As we are every month, our theme is Anything Goes, and our twist this month if you want to play along with it, is Christmas / Holidays.

This month we are sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls.

I got to use the image Reindeer Ellie with Ornament.

Seriously, how cute is this girl with her kitty!
I coloured Ellie and her kitten with my copic markers and used one of my tag dies to cut out.
I used my white gel pen for a few highlights.
I decided to pop two die cuts I cut from red glitter paper to add to the sentiment which is from one of my Jaded Blossom sets.
Super sweet!

Faux Galvanized Holiday Sign Tags

So I have a mix match group here for the Faux Galvanized Holiday Sign Tags by Ephemoire.

I added a triangle of paper #4 from Ginger Whimsy Paper Lot 2 to my Junk Art Journal. I then added the Circle tag onto it. Then tucked in the Believe tag along with elements from Ginger Whimsy Ephemera Tickets and Journal Tag sets as well as Pastel Holidays Large Notecard Set.

I then grabbed my roll of Flashing and cut a couple of pieces off, die cut my shape (don't know what that is called!) and then run it through my big shot again in embossing folders. Popped a hole in one for a tag / door sign and the other I left blank and will use as a card topper, or stick in my junk journal.

My Believe tag / door sign and Santa circle, I put glossy accents on top - has given them a snow drenched sort of look (aka cloudy) which I actually like. I will use the circle as an embellishment somewhere.

My card topper label I have embossed with clear powder and my circle tag I cut one out as a circle and embossed with iridescent powder for the glitter look and layered that on top of another one on top of a card stock base to become a tag or tree ornament.

My card is just the plain label (boring I know) with some patterned paper that I distressed and a gnome from the Santa's Workshop Dex Set.

Phew, long post!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Santa Baby Christmas Unicorn

Time for another challenge over at Through The Craft Room Door Challenge.
As always, the theme is Anything Goes.

Our Generous Sponsor this week is Oddball Arts with the prize being a $10 Voucher for their online store.

I got to create with Santa Baby Christmas Unicorn.

I coloured with Distress Inks, gel pens and a bit of clear Wink of Stella for the sparkle!
The background paper is from a 6x6 Christmas paper pack in my stash.
I distressed the main image card stock to bring a bit more interest to it.
The sentiment is part of the supplied image so I left that as was.

I hope you find time in your week to join us.

High Flying Reindeer Food Printable

Here's a fun way to package up Rudolph's Treat using High Flying Reindeer Food Printable by Ephemoire.
You get two sizes, a smaller and a larger label.
I printed the smaller on white paper and the larger on kraft paper.

Is that not just the cutest little bottle to light up the young ones eyes!

I used one of my dies for the food treat using Paper 4 from the Ginger Whimsy Paper Lot 2.

I didn't have any oats but I found some Dry Soup Mix (thanks mum!) which I think looks fab just on it's own.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Woodland Christmas collection from Ephemoire is is an awesome collection for your Christmas stash this year!

I mean, I might even keep these just for me!

I mean, how cute is that wooden Angel! Just love this image and that digital paper is the bomb!

I used the Woodland Christmas Gift Bag, Elements and Digital Paper (papers 1 & 2) files and there are more in the collection to show you ... you will love it!

I added used a tag die from Jaded Blossom to cut a topper for my gift bag, I was thinking it made it look like a house so added the wooden planks paper from the Ephemoire Woodlands Christmas Paper file, and some twine!
On my card belly band I added some gold glitter ribbon gifted to me from a craft buddy. Just perfect for this belly band!
My sentiment is a Jaded Blossom stamp (lol, of course it is!)

Ginger Whimsy 3" Notecards and Envelopes

I have used the Ginger Whimsy 3" Notecards and Envelopes from Ephemoire to create these adorable cards.

I decorated the envelopes with elements from the file and the smaller gingerbread man is from the Ginger Whimsy Tag Pocket with Cards set.
I added some enamel dots and used my white gel pen to highlight some details.
The back of the envelope I added the cookie on foam dots so the flap can slide in behind it and hold it in place.

My notecards I used my copics pens and coloured the hearts on the Christmas tree and popped up on foam dots, along with a snowflake charm in some silver thread.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Ginger Whimsy Gratitude 2020

I made some fun Gratitude 2020 pouches for the dinner table this Festive Season.

Sponged all the edges and then had fun assembling it.

Coffee, because Adulting is hard!

It's no secret that I love all things coffee right!
So when I was introduced to the Coffee Loving Papercrafters group and saw the 2020 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop over at Coffee Loving Cardmakers, well, I just had to didn't I!

I got out some goodies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and set about creating my card.

I used a card base that my crafty bestie gave me and repurposed the packaging from a Coffee Shaped Stress Ball. (Yep, "Friends" Central Perks one!)......anyways, I put down a layer of Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then using the Starlequin Stencil, I wiped over with a baby wipe to clear away some ink and give the distress look at the same time.
My sentiments are from the Coffee Talk stamp set, and chipboard pieces are from Coffee Chips.

I think it turned out pretty well.
Can't wait to see all the Coffee inspiration over on the hop - hope you'll find time to join in!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
