Book Binding Fold

My card for the next Butterfly Challenge #167

I have a great die from Colour Blast called Butterfly Effect so thought I would use it this time round.

Again, I used all of the wheel: Book Binding Fold / all 4 colours / Butterfly/ Braid.

This was a fun card to make!

I used 4 different card stock colours from my stash and a Stampin Up embossing folding on the purple to add some design instead of trying to find pattern papers with the colours needed.
My braid is two seam binding ribbons with a gold thinner ribbon. I love how it turned out.
And my saying is one of my planner stickers, because I have a ton of those too!

I am really enjoying these challenges and can't wait to see what we create next!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Never More Designs Gothic Challenge

Have you checked out this month's Challenge Image over at Never More Designs Gothic Image Challenge?

I have played in my junk journal this month.
I am in the middle of making some ATC's for a swap and had 3 lots of left over paint, so laid that down in my junk journal and decided it would suit this month's image.

So I stuck my image down, then used a strip of washi tape and ripped it in half, one bit for top and bottom of image.
I grabbed my Dream in Color stamp set by Jaded Blossom and stamped my saying directly onto the washi tape.
It says: " You paint my heart happy".
Such a joyous image.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Steampunk Monthly Challenge

I made a Journal Cover with the image for the Gecko Galz Steampunk Monthly Challenge this month.

I was playing with piano roll paper and this is one of the projects I ended up with.
I decided to pop this month's image on it and a bit of stamping with Walnut Stain distress ink.
I think it has turned out quite well. I do need to make a signature to pop inside of it, and then it will be complete.
I am thinking that maybe I will also add some stitching around the edges too... will see.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Christmas Challenge

For the Gecko Galz Christmas Challenge this month, I decided to make a another tag.

I made a tag with some cardstock and patterned paper.
Added my image and then a strip of gold glitter washi tape and a sentiment from one of the Uniquely Creative cut-a-parts.
Then I just had to add a bit of ribbon and another tag ready for Christmas time!

So much fun!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge

I decided to do something different with this month's image for the Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge, lol, well sort of.

I made a bookmark and a pocket using old piano roll paper.

I glued a piece of the piano roll onto some coffee stained paper and then set about making my pocket and then with the bit left over, thought it would be ok as a bookmark.

I sewed around the edges to give it some more support and then adhered my image. You can see I had to cut the pocket one down a bit to fit.
I used a few of my stamps to break up the plain background.
On my bookmark I also added some gold glitter washi tape and a sticker saying by Art by Marlene.

I love how they both came together.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Cheers ....

I had some fun with my project to enter the Sweet Treats Challenge over on the Gecko Galz Papercrafting Challenge Group

My image is from the Toast to The New Year Collage Set.
I used google to find a fun quote to use, then printed on some cardstock.
I used one of my tags die and die cut the tag and then adhered my gal on to.
Then it was just a matter of adhering onto my Sweet Treat!

Loved this saying:
Cheers to the people who love us, The losers who lost us,
and the lucky bastards who get to meet us!

I hope you can find time to play along with us.
You can make any project relating to Sweet Treats, and use at least one Gecko Galz product.

Star Crossed Lovers

With Valentines Day tomorrow I figured it would be a great day to make a fun ATC to wear for our Valentines High Tea at work tomorrow.

I made him for the Star Crossed Lovers Challenge over on the Gecko Galz Papercrafting Challenge Group

I grabbed the Queen of Hearts and Jack of Hearts playing cards and cut them in half....oppps!
I used one half of each as I reckon my sassy gent isn't sure which side of the Valentine chocolate box he is on......a piece of red satin ribbon holds the two halves together and acts as a good focal point for the sticker heart I placed as his belt buckle.

I hope you like him, and can find time to play along with us.
You can make anything Love or Valentine themed, and use at least one Gecko Galz product.
You have until 28th of February to join in,

Mischief Managed ATC's

Seems like a lifetime ago that I made these ATC's for a swap group!
I did make then the first week in December and sent off.
Almost forgot about them!

The theme was open, but they had to be similar.
My background is using my large Geli Plate with acrylic paints and various stencils.
I printed my image and words on tissue paper. These are from "Expressible" by Michelle Grant Designs.
I then added a doodled frame with my black pen around the edge of each one.

I enjoyed making them and receiving the others in the mail.
I love the variety of the 7 I received back - definately some great ideas for future inspiration as it's always good to see how others create their ATC's.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Not today Cupid!

I had a bit of fun making this card to showcase the 2022 Kit Club over at Gecko Galz.

The Club is such good value - you get 50 craft images within a theme each month for the whole year.
The image I used is from January's kit - Pre Raphaelite Art.

I used my distress inks and the Dark Hearts stencil from Visible Image to create my background.

Before I printed off my image, I added the "Not today Cupid!" wording.
It is a pretty flat card as I actually intend to use it as a page in a Junk Journal gicing me 3 other sides to play with!

So no matter when you sign up, you will get the month's that have been sent as well so you don't miss put on any of them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Collar Fun Fold Card

My card for the new Butterfly Challenge #166

I need a birthday card next month so thought this was a great challenge to make one with.

I used all of the wheel: Collar Fun Fold / all 4 colours / Circles / Butterfly.

The paper is one of the ones in my stash that I have had for many a year - I think it is Kaisercraft, but I am not 100% sure.

I used my dies to die cut my "81" in cardinal red and my butterfly is from Tim Holtz Transparent Wings pack.

My flair button is from an Aussie designer - Art by Zin, who if I recall rightly is a young girl starting out. I won a set of  her 3 flairs in a Virtual Craft Event I attended the other month.

Anyway, that is my step fathers card out the way. Now to make my daughter hers as her birthday is the day after.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Loaded Pocket

This month I decided to make a loaded pocket with some bookmarks using the Namaste Digital Paper Pack for my February Gecko Galz Design Team projects.

I used two papers from the set. The main one being the printed design one - the other paper does have a design on it, but I chose to use the plain part of it for this project
I also printed the papers A4 size to meet my needs.

Really, this project was so easy and simple - just have on hand some glue and a couple of bit of ribbon and you are good to go!

I must admit also that the corner page bookmark come about from a off piece I was thinking of maybe doing a matchbook with, but then decided on a corner bookmark and then folded it the wrong way, but made it work in the end anyway!

I really love how this all turned out and I truly hope I have inspired you to give it a go.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Silly Love Song

This month's Customer Challenge over at Gecko Galz is Silly Love Song.

I created 2 Bookmarks using images from the Beautiful Love Digital Collage set.

The first one I used one of the papers from Namaste Digital Paper Pack for my tag.

The song quote is
"I knew I loved you before I met you. I have been waiting all my life" - Savage Garden

Song quote is
"Hey Baby, I think I wanna marry you " Bruno Mars

I  used ribbon, trims and lace motifs from my stash.
Vintage music sheets and book pages along with coffee stained papers to add interest.
My quotes I printed off on tissue paper and used matt medium to adhere.
I did have a bit of trouble with the last one so used my black pen to correct it a bit.....as you do!

I hope you can join in on the challenge this month - you have until the 25th to get your entry blogged and onto the blog page. It really is worth the try to have some fun and maybe win $25 to spend in the store along your way!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz ATC Challenge

It's been a while since I joined in the ATC Challenge over at Gecko Galz and with this month's page being Alice in Wonderland inspir...
