Painted Woodland Watercolor Fauxdori TN Insert Pages

Here I am thinking outside the box again....

I decided that the pages in the Painted Woodland Watercolor Fauxdori TN Insert Pages file by Ephemoire were to nice not to show them off.

First of all I used the File Folders Die by Uniquely Creative to die cut folders from each page.

Then I sponged the edges with of course, Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Once I had that, I needed something to hold them in.
So I used another Uniquely Creative Die called Cut-A-Part Essentials #4 and adhering one of the papers to a cardstock sheet, I die cut it. I then laminated it and die cut it again carefully lining it up.

Now, I realised once I had done that, that I should have just die cut it all in one go - you live and learn hey.

Anyway, they all fit in very nicely and I will put in my planner as a Birthday File - you could use it for coupons, gift cards, stamps, ephemera, or whatever.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 14 Word Cloud

Word Cloud - how simple is this prompt, which is just as well as I'm a bit time poor today!

I used the last of my inky backgrounds and grabbed some markers.
I started with "Crafter" and then just added words as to what I use in my crafting.
Easy!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 13 Dice

Oh I had a bit of fun with today's prompt for ICAD 2021 - Dice.

Bahahaha I was going ok until I mentioned to my hubby that I didn't have any dice for my chess pieces by Unity Stamps and I was thinking of a Game of Thrones idea.....well, clearly I don't play chess and no, they don't use dice! I was thinking of droughts, or anyway, whatever!!!!

So then I had to find my Game of Thrones stamp sets by Kindred Stamps - yep, turned my craftroom upside down, did some sorting and bugger me, found them 2 hours later looking for something else to use!

Ok, so a quick search for a suitable quote to print on tissue paper, and colour my chess pieces with Distress Inks. Stamp my Throne and finally got it finished!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 12 Fairytale

Ok, Day 12 Fairytale has so much we can do, but where do we start?

Well it just has to be Alice in Wonderland doesn't it?
I don't recall a fairytale with a Unicorn in it?

My top strip is a piece of Washi Tape by Daisyland called The Cat Turntable.
My paper and die cut are both by Stamperia from their Alice collection.
I just Love the Mad Hatter - big fan of the Johnny Depp portrayal.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Wonder

This week #MondayPrompt Project is all about handwriting.

Mine is not the neatest or appealing, but this weeks class is great as you get to smudge and hide some of it!

I used my Neo II Crayons and Black Aquarellable pencil by Stabilo for my background, writing and drawing.
A page from an old novel and black gel pen.

I had a lot of fun creating this layout and love the outcome.
I have missed some of the weeks, but I do make the effort to create the ones that appeal to me. I might do the others at a later date if I have the time......we are all  time poor these days that is for sure!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 11 Library

Oh an interesting prompt for Day 11 - Library.

I started with the dictionary for the prompt word meaning.

Then looking through some books I keep for journaling purposes, I  found this picture of the London Library in one of them and thought it was perfect for today's prompt. I did have to cut it down a bit, but still it is perfect.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 61 Stain / Tuckspot

I know I have been a bit hit and miss with posting my #jjec project here on my blog, but I do them every week on my Instagram page.
With doing the ICAD each day again this year, it's easy to remember to pop these here as well.

So this week we have Stain and Tuckspot.

So I grabbed my Milled Lavender Distress Spray Stain by Tim Holtz and Fresh Lime Ink Spray by Dylusions.

I sprayed my backing page and two tags. Once they dried, I sprayed them again to add some more colour and splashes.

My tags I decided to put coloured safety pins instead of ribbon for a change.
I also decided to doodle on my tags for a change. I used white fluid acrylic paint.
My tuckspot is a collage piece I made a few months back with Wanderlust - we made one big page and cut up into smaller sizes to use at a later date - just like now.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Faded Foliage Journal

Using Ephemoire's Faded Foliage Journal Kit, I had fun constructing this one.

It's a bit of a long post, but the pages are beautiful that is for sure.

I created my own TN Cover using some cardstock.
Everything was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give it an aged look.
I added some lace to my cover and ribbons to the tags.
I altered some paperclips for interest and used some papers from Painted Woodland Fauxdori Tn Inserts to create some extra pieces.
There is plenty of space for journaling and most of the pages I love just as they are.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 10 Ribbon

Day 10 being Ribbon is a fun one as every crafter would have a tonne of ribbon in their craft room right?, I know I'm not the only one!

I started off with some strips of ribbon that I thought would look good going across the index card in lines....Once I got the first 3 down, I was thinking it would need a quote so I stopped at 3 until I had my quote sorted.
Of course then I need to put it on something or write straight on index card????
Anyway, a steampunk image I had printed off  for the Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge last month was just sitting there - yep, I used it. I just couldn't work out what to do with it last month so I never did it.
I used one of the It's Snowing layering stencils by La-La Land Crafts with Vintage Photo Distress ink to give a ribbon flowing effect behind my image.

I think it has turned out quite well - and now you see how my mind works, no idea, just flying by as I go along!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Japanese Birds

I am back on the Ephemoire Inspiration Team!

Here's my first project for June using the Japanese Bird Overlays

Firstly I printed the three images in two sizes onto tissue paper.

Using my Jaded Blossom Coffee Slider Die, I made a card and a gift holder with the sleeve.
I adhered my tissue image on to the card and sleeve.
Using lace from my stash I then added some to both projects along with some candy dots on the card.
Lastly I printed off some sentiments that I thought would go with them and then sponged with distress ink and adhered.

Using tags and an envelope from my stash, I adhered the remaining images and used some more ribbon and fabric from my stash.
Adhered sentiments and all set.

I love that the tissue gives a winter feel to the darker colours of the tags.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 #Day 8 Umbrella

Day 8 and so much you can do with the prompt Umbrella.

LOL, you'd think right! Well after much googling and procrastination, I finally decided on a plan.

I found a great quote and decided I could draw an umbrella (LOL) and colour it with my gel pens....yay, way to use what is at hand.

I got these super cool water effects stamps from Designs by Ryn (probably 3 years ago?) and decided now was a good time to grab them out of hibernation.

I wrote my quote using another gel pen, well when they are there why not.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 #Day 9 Ampersand

Ampersand is the prompt for Day 9 of ICAD.

Not too creative today - busy day with hubby's birthday and working afternoon shift so I had to get this one done after morning coffee!
I have scheduled this to post while I'm at work as it's also Game 1 of State Of Origin so when I get home I will be watching the last part of the game....go Queensland!

I actually love this quote - so true and worth remembering.

I used a brayer and some black acrylic paint for my background.
White gel pen and a wobbly ampersand and good to go!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 7 Twist

End of our first week - Day 7 and the prompt is Twist....thinking cap on.

In the end I found a quote to use and drew my scribble face to go with.

Used pencils to give her some colour and all done for another day.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 6 Canoe or Kayak

Ok Canoe or Kayak for Day 6 had me stumped a bit.

Then I remembered that when we did our Cruise in 2019 to PNG, we hopped in 2 canoes on our tours....

Lol, they both leaked! and must say I didn't feel that safe in either of them when we got going.....
but we did it, and we didn't sink so that was a bonus!
They are true handmade canoes those ones!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 5 Verdigris

Ok, so we are on Day 6..... I ran out of day yesterday, but I did start it if that counts!
Now I have finished it before I tackle today's theme.

So Day 5 was Verdigris - hmmmm, must admit I did have to look this one up and imagine my surprise that I should have known it! The blue/green from copper, commonly used for Steampunk.

Here it is before I spritzed with water.

I have to say that I am mega impressed with myself! Wowers, I think it looks like ones I admire all the time!

So I used a modeling paste through one of my Uniquely Creative stencils that I think came in the Advent Mystery Package last year?? Not 100% sure about the package, but I do know it was from them.

Once it dried overnight, I then grabbed out my Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and on top for the Verdigris effect, I used Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.

Last step was to spritz with water and when dry to add my description.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec60 Europe / Pocket

This week our #jjec is up to 60 and it's all about Europe and pockets.

I had some postcards that I used, along with some washing tape and postcard ephemera in my stash.
I quite like how it turned out.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 4 Snowglobe

Day 4 and Snowglobe is our prompt today.

Not very Adventurous today - I couldn't find a snowglobe as such in my stash - god knows with the amount of files, stamps, etc that I have you'd think I would have one I could use......will probably find one when looking for something else tomorrow!

Anyway, I grabbed some dies from Uniquely Creative and set about creating my own snowglobe...

I used one of my backgrounded cards and adhered my three die cuts.
Grabbed some markers and was aiming for a Christmas Tree sort of scene....lol, around a lake.....
gotta love the glitter circle frame though hey!?

Well, I did at least get it done on Day 4 so I am claiming it as a win for me..

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 3 Lyrics

What a fun prompt for Day 3 - Lyrics....now to pick a favourite song!

I did some backgrounds using Distress Paints and then after drying, had to pick which one would work best.

My favourite song at the moment is Beer Can't Fix by Thomas Rhett so naturally I chose to use it for this prompt.

Printed on tissue paper again - love how it turns out!
I used some white gesso on the reverse side to have his singlet less transparent - soooo cool!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 2 Snapdragon

Day 2 and our prompt is Snapdragon.

I found a couple of photos on google that was just right to print on tissue paper and added to my index card.

Gosh, I am super impressed with my new printer!
I know this would not have turned out so great with the old one.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

ICAD 2021 # Day 1 Contraption

It's that time of the year again - Index Card A Day for 61 days!

I did this for the first time last year and continued for 84 days ... and I used the Heidi Swapp Dex Card Die to create my own from patterned papers and then decorated.

This year I am thinking of sticking to the 61 only, and using actual lined Index Cards I have in my stash.

With that all worked out, here is Day 1 - Contraption

I used a couple of my Index Cards when I was spraying my mists on another project as I figured it would give them a good starting point. So you can still see some of the splashes on this one.

I looked up the prompt word Contraption and decided to cut it out of one of the dictionaries I have for this purpose to go along with a print of a photo I found on Google that caught my eye.

I also did a second card with the "Bonus" prompt being One Staple Collage.
I did this one just for fun.

A fun way to play along with the prompts.
See you tomorrow for the next one.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz ATC Challenge
