Creative Warriors Inspiration # 41

For me second Inspiration Post this month for Michelle's Creative Warriors, I have created a layout using one of the girls from the Chill Art Image pack by Michelle Grant.

I have been playing with Distress Oxide inks and my Gel plate so thought why not do it direct onto my journal page.....so if you don't like sharp lines, then this probably isn't for you. I myself don't mind them as this is my journal and my journey.
I was undecided whether to place my book directly over the gel plate or to turn the gel plate up and place it on my page.....well yes, I did the turn your book upside down and go with it technique. I quite like it offset and then inked up my gel plate again and dabbed as it were around the white border to give it a more rustic type look.
I adhered my girl and sentiment and then got out my Art my Marlene Mixed Media Play stamp set and stamped around my pages.
Lastly I thought my girl needed some colour, so I used 2 of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to give her a lift.

Instead of a black line around the border, I moved the Stormy Sky ink pad around the edges of the pages to break it up a bit.

I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Shake it Off

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the back cover page of my first signature.

Oh my, how gorgeous is that girl! or creepy as my crafty friend says. Yes, I did find her on Pintrest.
I just had to make a page with her in my planner! and what better page then one facing the cover page of the second signature. I have yet to create it, but already I know it will be to do with Christmas as it will be starting July through to December! It will be such a contrast.

Anyway, I used some chipboard roses and off cut pieces from Scraftbookingncraft which I used some Finnabair coloured texture paste on. I also added some wording bits of a 49 and Market rubon set to give it some interest. On my roses, I rubbed some Finnabair wax to help blend in a touch with the wax I rubbed around the image.
I also used a paper and a fabric flower from my stash.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Mehhh

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the 2nd page of June.

I have now sewn my signature into my cover so having to now do my pages as in the planner instead of sliding it out and having it less bulky. Still it's okay, lol, except my 2nd signature is slightly up a bit, but hey, it's handmade so one of a kind!

I used some more left over papers from Scrapping Clearly's Sweet Kiwi Foundations pack from my Alchemist Junk Journal classes last year.
Combined this with Bee Arty's new Border Queen stamp and Rustic Harlequin stencil. I also used Colour Blast Lovely Lilac Colour Paste.
The tag I used another girl I found on Pintrest, printed off and cut to a tag. Transparency sheet (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I trimmed and adhered with a eyelet then tied some sari ribbon through it. My velum paper (Sweet Kiwi Foundations) I stitched around to make a pocket and then stitched onto the page and popped my tag in.
I also used a diecut frame and glittery sticker from my stash.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 40

I created a layout using Michelle's Peace Art Image pack for my 2nd March Inspiration Post for Michelle's Creative Warriors.

I love how she turned out.
I started with adhering some ripped up tissue paper I had stencilled with excess ink, some book pages and washi tape. Also some washi tape stickers from my stash.
I then added some stencilling using a black ink pad and then some acrylic paints.
My stencil is Studio Lights "Ripped and Stains" Grunge Collection Mask.
Stamping with grey and brown ink pads and then adhering my girl and saying.
My stamps are 2 size Crosses from Scrap FX.
I added some acrylic paint to my girl as an eye attracting point.
Lastly some doodling for a border around it.
LOL, perfect saying as the pen border almost did my head in! Thankfully it doesn't need to be straight.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Just Because

Sharing my Journal layout and tag for Scrapbookingncraft with you.

I used my Altered Diary again as my preferred journal for my project.
My favourite part is the woman that I blended in perfectly to the page - traced the mask onto cardstock then adhered napkin and cut out then carefully lined up to page and adhered. I then gave her a shadow using Black Aquarellable Pencil.

I hope you it and are inspire to create with some of Scrapbookingncraft products Don't forget to share with us when you do. Feel free to tag me.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

No Rules

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the 1st page of June.

I am in love with this page!

I used left over papers from Scrapping Clearly's Sweet Kiwi Foundations pack from my Alchemist Junk Journal classes last year. The flower was from a mystery box I was lucky enough to win from Scrapping Clearly last month.
The tag and sentiment cardstock are leftovers from a class I did last year from a Hillbilly Virtual Retreat.
Another girl I found on Pintrest and printed off.

I must admit that some days I truly surprise myself with my arty creations and am loving this journey I decided to go on with my planner!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Whimsical Birdcages Birthday Tag

Have you seen the wonderful designs over at Christine's Etsy Shop AandJjDesigns yet?
(If you prefer Shopify, she has opened up there as well AandJjDesigns.)
I am excited to be a part of her Creative Team and to inspire you along the way. I will share links to the Etsy Shop to keep it simpler for me.

My first project I have made a Birthday tag for my daughter. Her card I will share in a few days time when she has received it.

I have used the Whimsical Birdcages Clip Art file.
After choosing my cage, I printed it twice the same size. The first print I used one of my Tag Dies and cut out. The second print I fussy cut the berries and then smaller owl. I adhered with foam tape to sit up from the original image tag. I then applied Glossy Accents onto them to make them pop. Once dry, I added some sari ribbon and tied in a bow.

As an added bonus - the Etsy Shop is currently having a 50% off Sale, so click on the link and grab your cages!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
