Creative Warriors Inspiration # 9

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is using this month's Challenge Image Wonder by Michelle Grant. I really love the coloured images with the two sides of the face.

Something just a little bit different this month!

I created a couple of Art Journals and used the images for the front and back covers.
I actually printed these ones on glossy photo paper.
Matted onto black card stock and then laminated.
Punched with my Happy Planner punch and then put on the disc.
I cut up some Water Colour Paper pad and also Acrylic Paint Paper pads to fit my covers and added them too.
My words are from Karen Yate's Little Word Bits #2.

The only problem with these is that the covers are very slippery!
I hope my Crafty Girlfriend loves hers as much as I love mine.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little bit differently and maybe try this out yourself for some special gift giving.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Little Robin

Are you ready for a new month's Challenge over at Arty Divas Challenge Blog.

This month's theme as always is "Anything Goes", doesn't get any easier than that does it!

This month we are playing with Little Robin by our resident sponsor Lilli Rain Designs

I printed my image out twice, but the second one is slightly smaller so I could layer them for a shadowed effect.
I added a gold doily underneath and that was all I needed to do,
A simple but gorgeous card to give away this year.

I look forward to seeing your entry in our Challenges.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Christmas Wonder

Here's a Christmas card I made using the Gecko Galz Christmas Wonder Collage sheet.

I also used Stitched Houses by Vera Lane Studio to print on some patterned paper for my houses.
The background behind these is a couple of IndigoBlu stamps form my stash.
My sentiments are stamps by Uniquely Creative her in Australia.

This card came about by using up leftovers on my desk from other projects.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Retro Christmas

Have you entered this month's Customer Challenge over at Gecko Galz yet?
The theme is Retro Christmas!

How funky are they!

I really did have to add some snarky quotes as we (I am) are getting our Sassy on this Christmas!
I created my own Dex Cards using my punch and some cardstock as well as a print from the Retro Christmas ATC Set
I printed 2 more of the sheets and used on my Prozac Dex card.
The Prozac girl is from the Retro Christmas Ladies Collage Set and my regifter is from the Christmas Pin Ups Collage sheet.

I googled the quotes, typed up and adhered.

I hope I have inspired you. Now it's your turn to show me what you can do this month - you have until the 29th to get your entry blogged and onto the blog page. Why not try an image from the Newsletter freebies as well.
It really is worth the try to have some fun and maybe win $25 to spend in the store along your way!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 8

Time for my next project to inspire you, which is a Mash Up of last month's Challenge Image Enough and  Reset Art Image pack, both by Michelle Grant.

I had started off by fussy cutting my girl and some of the flowers. The I printed off the lovely coloured image and saying from Reset and added the saying onto the image.
Lol, over the course of following week or so, I played around with positioning and thinking of backgrounds.
During my 31 Days of October for Art Journal Junkie, I often had left over paint. So in day 19, I decided to use those colours and stencils to start my background. I already had left over paint and leaf stencil used on the left page from another day.
Then it was a matter of positioning again and deciding on my next move.
That was to add some stamping with a Bee Arty stamp and also a Uniquely Creative stamp, and then adhering the images and flowers.
Once I had done that, I decided I needed to add some spots of colour to her hair, so I used my Inktense watercolour pencils. Lastly, I added some watered down black acrylic paint splashes and splats.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to look at your packs a little bit differently.

Don't forget to share with us any of your projects over on the Michelle's Creative Warriors Facebook group, we'd love to see them.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Naughty Christmas

This month I created a  Junk Journal page for my project to inspire you using the Retro Christmas ATC Set and one of the ladies from the Christmas Pin Ups Collage sheet by Gecko Galz.

The background page I had used up leftover paint on some stencils from a layout I did for 31 Days Art Journal Junkie October.
I just had to add some of the ATC sheets and my sassy lass.
I googled some quotes and picked this one out as it's perfect.

Why not join me and try some snarky sassy Christmas cheer in your journals this year.

I hope you like them and are inspired to join in on one of our many challenges this month.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
