Summer Splashdown

I had some fun making this card for the Vintage Seaside Rendezvous Challenge over on the Gecko Galz Facebook page.

My image is the from Gecko Galz Summer Splashdown Kit Club 2021.
I sponged the edges of my image and all cardstock using Stormy Sky Distress Ink.
I used my Jaded Blossom dies for the matts.
My sentiment is from one of the papers from a magazine - pretty sure it's by IndgoBlu as that was the steampunk stamps that came with them in the pack.

Shine

I completed another page in my Junk Journal - one signature now completed.
I can't believe I started it back in April last year - I go in spurts it seems!

Anyway, this time I am using "Shine" by Michelle Grant for the Michelle's Creative Warriors August Challenge over on Facebook.

I printed my image on tissue paper. My tissue paper didn't lay flat as I was in two thoughts, but I do love the effect it has given - sort of vintage, old page feel.
I used a base layer of white gesso and then Colour Blast Steel Colour Paste over my stencil - 100% from the Follow Your Dreams range by Colour Blast.
I coloured my girl using my Distress Inks and also used some fluid white paint for highlights.
My quirky sentiment is using a Cerulean Blue Koi Coloring Brush Pen.

Planner Mermaid

Another Mermaid from the Mermaid Magic sheet from Gecko Galz.

This time I kept it very simple and added her to my planner.
I went for next month and that particular weekend happens to be Father's Day here in Australia.
All going well, fish and chips at the beach for lunch!

A couple of rolls of washi tape and some stickers and we are ready to write on .... let's just see how this on again off again lockdown saga goes first.

A time of wonders ....

Online studies are great, but the downfall is reading off the computer and ipad strains the eyes, mine anyway!

So before I have to get ready for work, I thought I'd give the studies away now for today, and do a small project to clear the brain ready to head off to work for another challenging shift!

I got the Mermaid Magic sheet from Gecko Galz as a freebie with purchase off her Etsy shop so made my mixed media tag with the one I liked the most.

I used a Watercolor paper tag from Julie Nutting Tag Pad and some distress inks and stains to splash and smooch. Also used the Vintage Text Mark Making stamp by Uniquely Creative to add some more dimension.
Addition of some trims from my stash and a sticker from Clippings Stickers by Tim Holtz.

A Girl has No Birthday

Birthday card I made for my Crafty Bestie.
Safe to share now as she has received it in lockdown no problem.

I looked through my copious digi files and come up with Sherri Baldy's My-Bestie Img 802 with Kitty.
Perfect for a cat lover!
I coloured her with my Distress Inks and then fussy cut out. Used my Jaded Blossom Stitched dies to cut some matts.
I tried my new Tattered Lace Butterfly Die that come with a craft magazine.
And my sentiment is from the Royal Throne stamp set by Kindred Stamps - yep, a Game Of Thrones fan right here.

Gecko Galz Christmas Challenge

A new month and another image to use for the Christmas Challenge.

I made my own tag with some scraps of paper from the Tis The Season Collection by Kaisercraft.
Sponge around the edge with Vintage Photo distress ink.
Added my image of the month and then some tasell and ribbon from my stash.

I then decided to make a second tag ready to decorate later.

These are perfect for gifts as well in your planner or book you are reading.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge

I created a Junk Journal page with this month's Steampunk image for the Challenge.

I used some acrylic paints to create my background in my Junk Journal.
I haven't had my paints out for a few months so I really enjoyed getting messy and back into my Junk Journal!
When dried, I adhered my image of the month.
Then  I found a great saying from the Collectables Voyages Fantastiques Paper Pack by Stamperia to use and adhered that too.

Plans Journal

I decided to get my Distress Inks out again and do some colouring......

I coloured up Img 552 by Sherri Baldy My-Besties and decided to use her on the cover of one of my Journals.

My background is a matt from the Spread Kindess range by ColourBlast.
My "Plans" is from a file by Red Dot Books and Printables that I got as a freebie for purchasing this month's Journal book and entering the Challenge.

Love how she turned out - a nice Autumn feel.

Halcyon Journal

Showcasing my Journal today I made using 3 of the Halcyon files from Ephemoire.

I used the #1 Digital Paper set, Journal Card & Pocket set, as well as the Mini Folder & Journal Cards set.

Oh my, I am very happy with the end result, and love those blue and bronze bits of lace my from stash.
Tried a few new things and happy to have learnt from them and be able to plan using them again.
It's great to try and re purpose somethings to make it more yours!
Give it a go and see where the journey takes you.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Wicked Vixens

Time for some Snarky Witches I say!

I had a lot of fun creating these cards and ATC's using the Wicked Vixens Volume #1 file from Ephemoire.

I decided on a black and orange theme ready for Halloween.

I grabbed out my Stamping Up Embossing Powders and had a look through my embossing folders and found one I could use both side of the embossing with.
I also tried out a new intricate die I got from a mystery box which I must say I would never have bought myself, but had worked just great here. (that's what I love about mystery boxes - always find something that surprises me)

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
