Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge

This month the Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge is a black and white image of a mother and her two daughters (could also be an Aunt).....

What a fab image!
It really doesn't need much as I wanted to keep it the focal point of the page.
My Beautiful Memories stickers where just the right touch to my journal page.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Never More Designs Gothic Challenge

Another month and new Challenge over at Never More Designs Gothic Image Challenge a little bit different this month,

Another page in my coffee stained journal.
A quote I found on Google that I though fit the image we have to work with.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz Lavender ATC's

Another ATC swap over at Gecko Galz.

My partner has received her ATC's from me so I can show you what I made......

So I got a bit adventurous and cut some heads off!
My favourite one in the middle one.

Then I made a pouch to pop them in and adhered a napkin on the front of it.

I also added a couple of tags that I showed you the other week that matched the colour theme.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Colour Wheel Girl

Had some fun with this week's #MondayPromptProject.

It's all about the colour wheel - warm and cool colours.

I enjoyed getting my Faber-Castell water paint set out and just playing around.
They are just a cheap set from Big W (around $10-$12) but still great to use.

I can't figure out a suitable saying to add to her, but I can add that later when I find one!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

The Owl and the Tulip Journal

Over on one of my Facebook groups - Printables for your Junk Journaling with TLC, we have a Challenge each month that involves buying a set file and creating your Journal and posting how you went.

I bought the Owl and the Tulip file along with the Add-on file from Red Dot Books and Printables to make for my daughter who loves Owls. I wasn't going to tell her until I had it finished, but I was showing her halfway through when she asked who would get it...I told her it was for her if she wanted it - well of course she said she did.

Now be forewarned, there are 24 pics!

Wowser's - there are a lot of tags, envelopes, book mark, journal cards etc tucked into it!

I have to say, a labor of love but we both love the outcome with it so worth the 8 odd hours it took from start to finish.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Pray for India

#MondayPromptProject is grungy this week.

I created my collage background and got my black Aquarellable Stabilo Pencil out ready to create some magic..

All I could think was drawing a masked face praying for India and a stop to the alarming rise in Covid-19 cases and deaths.

I work with people from a lot of Nationalities, but a lot more of them are from India and the pain they are enduring watching from a far and feeling helpless is heart breaking. Many have family members that have the infection, some have members that have passed and there is not a thing they can do...

So much pain and suffering all around the world at the moment.
The best thing we can do is be there in the moment with our friends and colleagues, to be that ear to listen to and comfort in these very trying times.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Vintage Rose

Another layout done in my Altered Book Journal.

Again using stash from my Mystery Junk Journal Bundle I bought.

Two digital papers in my stash.
I made a side tuck pocket and made a journal card with the top piece of the page and the background with the bottom bit.
I think they both work well together.

Only 6 more layouts to go and then I can create the cover for it.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Vintage Tags

Another layout completed in my Altered book Journal and I made some tags too!

The digital papers I used here are from a Mystery Junk Journal Bundle I bought off a lady on Etsy.
(it was so good I bought a second one!)

In both bundles I received a page with tags on, so made them up using old book pages and ribbon/lace trims from same bundles.

Got the sewing machine out and had a play - not the neatest, but that's ok.
Just means I need to sew more to get better at it!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 56 Station

Well this weeks prompt for Junk Journal Elements Challenge was a challenge!

This week we have Station / Pocket - so the pocket is easy but Station I wasn't too sure of.

So I went through a couple of my books, and found this page of Canary Wharf DLR Station in London.
Perfect!
I added my pocket on the side to the right.

In my pocket I popped a Envelope from TLCreates Vintage and a Ticket Tab stub from my stash.

Love how it turned out, even if it's not that adventurous.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Vintage Galz Altered Book Journal

Here's the next layout in my Altered Book Journal.

Kept it simple and vintage with this one.

Images by Gecko Galz and sentiment from TLCreates Vintage.
Coffee stained baking paper I stained a few months back.
Doily from my stash.
Vintage Photo Distress Ink used as well.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Alice and the Altered Book Journal

I decided to play in my altered book and try to get it finished...lol...it will happen!

The next two layout pages in my book I had already glued in the background papers so just had to decide on finishing them.
I love these Digital Christmas Alice papers (Vectoria Designs), yes I did actually do these back in Oct/Nov 2020....I also changed jobs around then with my husband finishing his, so life had got a bit hectic there for a few months.

Now because this is mine, I can mismatch as much I like!

This first one on the left I put a Gecko Galz image - lol, love her and think she would be great with the Mad Hatter! The right page is just a pocket tuck.

Bahahaha, I found one of my Bernie Saunders images just hanging around so decided he could feel at home in Wonderland too!

My two Queen of Hearts Journal Cards are from TLCreates Vintage which sit nicely behind the belly band.

I have another I will share tomorrow as she isn't Alice related, and then 9 more layouts to go..... I found it relaxing to do these ones.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Goddess Gecko Galz ATC Swap

I am very happy that my ATC's made their way to my partner in the States.

Now I can show them to you without spoiling the surprise.....I did make a 4th one which I kept for myself.

The theme was Goddess.

We got the 2 ATC files off the blog and had to make at least 3 to give to our partner using the images, but could add our own embellishments.

This one is mine.....of course!

Again I got my quotes of google and printed them off.
I used some lace from my stash and a few rhinestone dots.

I am now in the middle of finishing this month's 3 and having some fun with them too!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

#jjec 55 Elephants

Elephants along with "Inchies" is the prompt for this week's Junk Journal Elements Challenge.

So I couldn't really find anything suitable in my stash so off to google I went.
So many great photo's to choose from, I couldn't stop at just one image .... so I printed off my fav's and then two that I though would make nice 'Inchies" - they are a 1" x 1" square - so yes, they are small.

These are the two 'Inchies" I used in my journal.

I enjoyed the process and then placement of my elephants - I am so loving how this altered book journal is turning out.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Gecko Galz ATC Challenge

It's been a while since I joined in the ATC Challenge over at Gecko Galz and with this month's page being Alice in Wonderland inspir...
