Magical Memories Collection Cards 2

Sharing another couple of cards I made using the Magical Memories Collection from Scrapbook Fantasies.

Card 1 is an Easel Card using a Kraft shaped Card base with additional Kraft cardstock for top of easel card and white cardstock for inside matt.
I used Magical Memories Paper #5 for Card matt front and base of easel card as well as Vintage Writing Desk Colour Cuts.

Card 2 is a mixed media card. Using a plain white card base, I used Light Modeling Paste through the Blotchy Spots Stencil. When dry, I used Archival Inks Fossilized Amber and Crackling Campfire with Blending Foams to create a nice warm background and adding texture.
I then used Magical Memories Paper #5 for Fox, mushrooms and flowers from it's ephemera elements side. I also used a Scrapbook Fantasies "Just for You" Flair. I also used some Plumbers Dry Wall Tape to ground my fox.

I have to say that the Fox card is just so cute!

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Magical Memories Collection Scrapbook Layout 2

Sharing another Scrapbook Layout using Magical Memories Collection from Scrapbook Fantasies.

I have cut Paper #1 into two pieces. I reversed one side and trimmed 1/2 inch off. I then adhered this to Paper #4 so a thin border was showing.
I created my photo cluster using Paper #4 as my main focal frame. I also used half of the book page on another sheet of Paper #1 and cut a matt from the Brick side of Paper #1 for my focal photo matt.
To frame my photo, I have used some Leaves from Paper #6 ephemera elements, Flowers from Magical Memories A4 Colour Fussy-Cut Essentials, White Cosmos Flowers, Clock from Magical Memories Colour-Cuts - Vintage Writing Desk and NoteBook from Paper #2 ephemera elements.
I set this aside and used a texture colour paste as well as an Archival Ink through the Springs stencil to link all my pages and give some texture.
Once dry I adhered my photo cluster.

I have a few more projects to show you in the coming days.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Magical Memories Collection Scrapbook Layout 1

Have you seen the Magical Memories Collection over at Scrapbook Fantasies
I have been playing with them and created this single page Scrapbook Layout.

I fussy cut the wreath from Paper #4 and adhered onto my white 12x12 cardstock.
I used the inside cut out piece for my circle photo matt using dies from my stash.
My tag and loose leaves I made using some of Paper #6 and it's elements, as well as a piece of sari ribbon from my stash.
I also used a heart chippie from Scrapbook Fantasies that I coloured with my favourite purple paint pen.

I have a few more projects to show you in the coming days.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 42

My first Inspiration Post this month for Michelle's Creative Warriors, I have created a Scrapbook Page layout using one of the girls from the Covid Art Image pack by Michelle Grant.

I used one of the girls as well as one of the quotes from the pack.
My background paper is the backing from a Mintay Chipboard pack.
I used Michelle's stencil "Roundabout" and Dies "Connected" and "Around" from the collection Full Circle she created for Bee Arty.
I used a few different archival inks through the stencil and then the second part of the stencil I used Gel Medium which gives a watermark effect.

I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Creative Warriors Inspiration # 41

For me second Inspiration Post this month for Michelle's Creative Warriors, I have created a layout using one of the girls from the Chill Art Image pack by Michelle Grant.

I have been playing with Distress Oxide inks and my Gel plate so thought why not do it direct onto my journal page.....so if you don't like sharp lines, then this probably isn't for you. I myself don't mind them as this is my journal and my journey.
I was undecided whether to place my book directly over the gel plate or to turn the gel plate up and place it on my page.....well yes, I did the turn your book upside down and go with it technique. I quite like it offset and then inked up my gel plate again and dabbed as it were around the white border to give it a more rustic type look.
I adhered my girl and sentiment and then got out my Art my Marlene Mixed Media Play stamp set and stamped around my pages.
Lastly I thought my girl needed some colour, so I used 2 of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to give her a lift.

Instead of a black line around the border, I moved the Stormy Sky ink pad around the edges of the pages to break it up a bit.

I hope I have inspired you just a little bit.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!

Shake it Off

Mixed Media Monday 2024 and my next page of my Junk Journal Planner which is the back cover page of my first signature.

Oh my, how gorgeous is that girl! or creepy as my crafty friend says. Yes, I did find her on Pintrest.
I just had to make a page with her in my planner! and what better page then one facing the cover page of the second signature. I have yet to create it, but already I know it will be to do with Christmas as it will be starting July through to December! It will be such a contrast.

Anyway, I used some chipboard roses and off cut pieces from Scraftbookingncraft which I used some Finnabair coloured texture paste on. I also added some wording bits of a 49 and Market rubon set to give it some interest. On my roses, I rubbed some Finnabair wax to help blend in a touch with the wax I rubbed around the image.
I also used a paper and a fabric flower from my stash.

Until next time, keep chasing white unicorns!
